Bill Brooks moves to a small farm in Clearwater, Vermont, seeking a new life. At an antique shop, he buys items for his mantelpiece from the owner, the beautiful, single Roselyn.

One piece is covered with layers of paint. When Bill strips the paint away, he uncovers a beautifully made box with three words on it.

The mystery of the box and his encounters with an older lady named Vivian, who keeps appearing uninvited, set Bill on a mission no one could expect. The stripped box and his farmhouse may hold a secret that could help set the town free and embrace the true spirit of Christmas.
