The Camino Wanderers: Camino del Norte

If a stranger says “Ultreia” in the fog, you answer. Everyone on the Camino knows the rule. Nobody believes it.
Anna Weber and Lena Krause have been best friends since they were twelve. When they set out from Irun on the Camino del Norte in the cold of late October, the plan is simple: walk eight hundred kilometres to Santiago, call home from the cathedral steps, and decide what comes next.
But every pilgrim on the road tells the same story. A group that never arrives. Dozens of shells on their packs, mismatched clothes, and warm, kind voices that call out a single word in the fog. Answer wrongly, or not at all, and you belong to them.
It is only a legend, until they cross into Galicia.
THE CAMINO WANDERERS is a slow-burn mystery about friendship, fear and the small words we fail to say. Walk the whole northern coast of Spain, from the Basque Country to the cathedral of Santiago, one chapter at a time.
