Double Trouble: A Texas Private Investigator Mystery
A dead body. A terrible secret. And a past that threatens the living.
Private investigator Iris Raines thought she’d seen everything—until she was staring into the face of a dead woman who looked exactly like her.
The discovery sends Iris into a maze of hidden identities, long-buried secrets, and a conspiracy that stretches back decades. Someone is searching for a treasure connected to the past, and they’re willing to kill to get it. Now Iris isn’t just on the case—she’s in the crosshairs.
With her loyal Saint Bernard at her side and a small circle of allies she trusts with her life, Iris follows a trail of clues from dusty records and forgotten family histories to dangerous men who will do anything to get what they want. The deeper she digs, the clearer it becomes: this isn’t just about murder.
It’s about a secret someone has been hiding for generations.
And Iris may be the key to all of it.
