Blood & Desire, a Modern Vampire Romantasy: Serenity Sanctuary Vampire Series
Rafe Hamilton was taught to be a stone-cold killer by his vampire maker, Genesis.
Turned in nineteenth-century New York by a vampire who believed humans existed to be hunted and always killed, Rafe spent years taking blood without remorse—until one death became impossible to forget. And a voice in his head kept getting louder.
He fled to New Orleans with a question no vampire had ever taught him to ask: Did he truly need to kill to survive?
A powerful witch gave him an answer, but control came slowly. Painfully. And never without temptation. And then he was cursed to burn for his choices.
Now, Rafe is desperate to break the curse and builds Serenity Sanctuary to find what he needs.
Serenity Sanctuary is an exclusive wellness retreat hidden along the California coast, offering wealthy guests privacy, luxury, and thirty days of perfect escape. But Serenity has another darker purpose and it’s all about blood. Rafe is searching desperately for what he needs.
Then Romy Hale steps through his doors.
An unemployed journalist, broke, and desperate for a fresh start, Romy can hardly believe her luck when she "wins" a fully paid month at Serenity Sanctuary. She expects massages, ocean views, and a chance to figure out what comes next.
She does not expect Rafe Hamilton.
He’s elegant, secretive, dangerously magnetic, and he's far too interested in her.
Everything about her unsettles him. The necklace she never removes interferes with things it shouldn't. And the closer Romy gets to uncovering Serenity's secrets, the harder it becomes for Rafe to remember exactly why he spent so long learning control.
He was once a monster. He believes he changed.
Romy Hale may be the woman who finally proves whether that's true.
The vampire who learned control meets the one woman who makes him desperately want to lose it.
