QU: So, what makes the Dark Horizon series special?
AN: My mission is to write action led thrillers that hit hard, right from the go. I write what I love to read. My top picks are usually thrillers and mysteries best sellers, and private detective novels. When I pick up a novel, I want to be entertained, that’s a given, but I also want to learn something new. I love telling stories that are on the blurred edge between fact and fiction; whether I’m writing about the world of art crime, the Royal Society, Isaac Newton, Freemasonry, the Knights Templar or the history of London; weaving a contemporary crime thriller within layers of true fact is what gives me a buzz. The function of a best-selling crime novel is to give the reader what they don’t get in their real lives. It’s about escaping the ordinary and entering into a world of the extraordinary. I hope the Dark Horizon trilogy does this in spades. Each book in the series is designed to keep you turning the pages all night long.
