Coming Home To Paradise: A Shellwater Key Tale

Coming Home To Paradise: A Shellwater Key Tale

Kristin Wallace

A beautiful blend of sweet, contemporary romance and women’s fiction, in the tradition of Debbie Macomber and Susan Mallery. Set against the backdrop of the Florida sun and a forgotten dinner theater, this novel is a companion to Book 1 in the Shellwater Key Tales series, Left Turn At Paradise, telling that story from another perspective…

Thirty years ago, desperation drove Elizabeth McCarthy to do the unthinkable when she abandoned her infant daughter, Layla, to the care of her mother. Now, after years of trying to outrun the memories and the guilt, Beth has come home to Shellwater Key to make amends. She has survived deadbeat relationships, becoming a single mother, and cancer, but now faces the most difficult battle of her life…finding a way to connect with the legendary mother she was never able to please…and earning the forgiveness of the daughter who has every reason to hate her. She might even have a chance to find the missing piece of her heart when Layla’s father arrives in town looking for answers.

Coming Home To Paradise is a powerful story of a woman who never felt like she was enough, despite being physically beautiful. It’s the story of a woman who has been broken by life, and by illness, and who now only wants to make things right. A story about discovering that it’s never too late to find true love…or more accurately…find the true love that slipped away.

If (Carmichael): Devotional Edition

If (Carmichael): Devotional Edition

Amy Carmichael

If weighed in a balance, far more conversation and preaching is centered on the nature of salvation than is given to the subject of how we live as Christians. This is unfortunate, especially when so much of Scripture hones in on how to live victoriously (Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect – Matthew 5:48).

In this small book, If, Amy Carmichael asks little questions that, if examined in the Spirit, pack a big punch. Each question provides an opportunity to consider our motives and align our thoughts, attitudes and actions with those of Christ. How can we teach others the way of the cross if we don’t first allow the Lord to deal with us?

A relevant Bible verse and prayer follow each “if” question in this edition. The intent is that it would be used as a daily devotional and a launching pad for deeper study and prayer for the edification of the reader.

About the Author
Amy Carmichael (1867-1951) was a missionary, ministry founder, and prolific author. Her booklet, If, is currently one of the most popular. Carmichael is widely known for her steadfastness in faith and dedication to go and do whatever her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, asked her to do.

The Lord is Their Shepherd: Praying Psalm 23 for Your Children

Betsy Duffey

Quietly, a force of power is unleashed, changing the course of the world – the prayers of faithful women and men for children. We will never be able to count the good choices made and bad choices avoided, the lives grown in faith as a result of these prayers.

Our relationship to God is like a sheep to a shepherd. In the Bible there are over 700 references to sheep. God often refers to us as his sheep. People and sheep are alike. We are stubborn and anxious. We are crowd pleasers. We are fearful. We are helpless on our own. But God is our shepherd, ready to provide everything we need. It’s all there in Psalm 23.

How can you join in and pray for your children? Everything we want for them is promised in the powerful words of Psalm 23.

Betsy Duffey and Laurie Myers will guide you as you take Psalm 23 and pray its truths and promises for your children.

The Secrets of Biblical Wisdom: Unleashing the Power of Heavenly Insight in Your Life

Kyle Searcy

Rising Leader Shows Readers How to Harness Spiritual Wisdom for Sucessful Living

When facing life problems, Christians ask God for help, for blessings, for miracles, for intervention. Rarely do they ask for the one thing that can solve the majority of their problems wisdom. While wisdom is valued, it is rarely sought after. It is attributed to Solomon and relegated to Old Testament days. Yet the Bible tells us that wisdom is still calling us today (Proverbs 8:1).

Kyle Searcy, respected leader and pastor, has experienced the favor and blessing of wisdom in his own life. Here he shares the secrets to unlocking the power of wisdom, guiding believers along the path of acquiring and harnessing spiritual wisdom. Through personal examples, stories, Scriptures, and biblical examples, he shows how possessing wisdom produces, among other things, favor, special skills, and wealth. Each chapter ends with practical actions to assist readers in pursuing wisdom and enjoying its benefits in their personal situations.

Same-Sex Attraction and the Church: The Surprising Plausibility of the Celibate Life

Same-Sex Attraction and the Church: The Surprising Plausibility of the Celibate Life

Ed Shaw

The Gospel Coalition Top Books of 2015 in Christian Living

Tim Challies’ Top Books of 2015

ProdigalThought.net’s Top Reads of 2015
Leadership Journal’s Best Ministry Books of the Year

When Christians have same-sex attraction, how should the church respond?

Pastor Ed Shaw experiences same-sex attraction, and yet he is committed to Scripture and the church’s traditional position of fidelity in heterosexual marriage and celibacy in singleness. In this honest book, he shares his pain in dealing with these issues, but at the same time shows us that obedience to Jesus is ultimately the only way to experience life to the full.

He shows that the Bible’s teaching seems unreasonable not because of its difficulties, but because of missteps that the church has often taken in its understanding of the Christian life. We have been shaped by the world around us and urgently need to re-examine the values that drive our discipleship. Only by doing this in the light of the Bible can we make sense of its call on the lives of those who are attracted to their own sex.

Rachel Hauck

From New York Times bestselling author of The Wedding Dress comes The Wedding Chapel.

A lonely wedding chapel built as a tribute to lost love just might hold the long-awaited secret to hope and reconciliation.

For sixty years, the wedding chapel has stood silent and empty. Retired football hall-of-famer Jimmy “Coach” Westbrook built the chapel by hand, stone by stone, for his beautiful and beloved Collette Greer, whom he lost so many years ago. The chapel is a sanctuary for his memories, a monument to true love, and a testament to his survival of the deepest pain and loss.

Photographer Taylor Branson left her hometown of Heart’s Bend, Tennessee, to make a new life for herself in New York. She had lots to run away from, not least of all a family history of broken promises and broken dreams. Love catches Taylor off guard when she falls for Jack Forester, a successful advertising executive, and their whirlwind romance leads to an elopement—then to second guesses. Jack, in spite of his very real love for Taylor, is battling his own demons and struggles to show her his true self and the depths of his love for her.

Taking a photography assignment in Heart’s Bend, Taylor is thrown back into a past of family secrets buried deep beneath the sands of time. When Taylor and Coach’s journeys collide, they each rediscover the heartbeat of their own dreams as they learn that the love they long to hold is well worth the wait.

Then Charlotte discovers a vintage dress in a battered trunk at an estate sale. It looks brand-new—shimmering with pearls and satin, hand-stitched and timeless in its design. 1. It should be noted that “The Korihor Argument” is not Christian at all. It is a morman missionary’s journey out of Mormonism but into atheism. The Christian reader will find much to disagree with here. I was surprised to find it featured on this site at all and was disappointed to have spent even .99 on it.

I am very sorry to hear this! We do try hard to be selective about our books and keep a Christian outlook. We use titles listed under the Christian Nonfiction/Christian tags on Amazon but sometimes those are not always accurate. 🙁 I have removed the book and am sorry to have inconvenienced you.
