Dealing With A Depressed Person: Coping With Someone With Depression or an Anxiety Disorder (Mood Disorders, Depression Signs, Anxiety Symptoms, Bipolar People Book 3)

Amber Rain

Help For Friends and Family Members Dealing With Someone Who is Depressed

Everything you need for dealing with a friend, spouse, child, boyfriend, girlfriend or family member who suffers with depression or anxiety is in this book. This is “NOT” one of those short books that lacks substance. NO! It is filled with proven methods for coping with someone who is depressed.

From The Author, Amber Rain, On Coping With a Depressed Person

“All of us are hit with the blues now and then, and that’s not unusual. When we are challenged or hit rough spots in our lives, most of us are inclined to say that we are “depressed” without giving it a second thought. But upon scrutiny, we have to know that depression is much more than just feeling sad. In fact, depression is a condition that causes you to feel much more than sadness.

People with depression also feel hopeless, insignificant, and helpless; and these feelings can dominate for days, weeks, or even longer. Depression affects normal functioning, and can start to affect the various aspects of life in general.

When we find out that someone close to us has depression, we may feel at a loss with regards to how we can help and how we can reach out. To be able to help someone with depression, we should start with knowing what depression is, and how it affects someone in daily life. If we take that extra step to arm ourselves with the knowledge that we need to help the people we care about, then we may very well become an important factor in their recovery and healing process.

This book is formatted in a way that is easy to digest, and each portion of the content will give you information in quick tips that are easy to read, understand, and apply in real life.

While depression is a difficult condition to deal with, there are ways to overcome it. As someone trying to help someone cope with depression, you’re taking on an important role. Arming yourself with knowledge is one of the most important steps you can take to help someone you care about, and it is our hope that these tips have given you a basic foundation of working knowledge to help you and encourage you to make the effort to learn even more about the condition, grow, and help your loved one heal and be well.”

Tips From The Book On Dealing With A Depressed Person

Tip 34: When you talk to a depressed person, it may seem that they don’t care about what you’re saying or what you’re doing. It may be hurtful to be treated this way, but the important thing is that you don’t take this personally. When this happens, remind yourself that losing interest in daily activities is actually a symptom of depression. Instead, you can be honest and tell them that you notice their lack of energy or enthusiasm. This will help them become conscious of how they’re behaving, and will help them open up to you about what they’re really feeling.

Tip 3:
Those struggling with depression can’t be told that the condition is “only in their heads”. The condition doesn’t only affect thoughts and emotions, it eventually affects the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the individual as well.

Unveiling the End Times in Our Time: The Triumph of the Lamb in Revelation

Unveiling the End Times in Our Time: The Triumph of the Lamb in Revelation

Adrian & Steve Rogers

“The one who reads this is blessed, and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it are blessed, because the time is near!” —Revelation 1:3 (HCSB)

Respected Bible teacher and beloved pastor Adrian Rogers takes readers on a breathtaking journey through the “blessing book” of Revelation with Unveiling the End Times in Our Time. Indeed, Revelation offers every Christian believer a dramatic and hope-filled overview of what the end of days will be like.

Although some think Revelation is confusing, or even scary, with its talk of dragons and beasts, the text contains a proper understanding of where his- tory is headed. Rogers makes clear how the signs of the times already reveal God’s plan for bringing his people to full redemption, empowering us to live boldly while expecting the return of King Jesus as the triumphant Lamb.

The Man in the Middle: An Inside Account of Faith and Politics in the George W. Bush Era

The Man in the Middle: An Inside Account of Faith and Politics in the George W. Bush Era

Timothy S. Goeglein

Timothy Goeglein spent nearly eight years in the White House as President George W. Bush’s key point of contact to American conservatives and the faith-based world and was frequently profiled in the national news media. But when a plagiarism scandal prompted his resignation, Goeglein chose not to dodge it but confront it, and was shown remarkable grace by the president. In fact, Bush showed more concern for Goeglein and his family than any personal political standing.

So begins The Man in the Middle, Goeglein’s unique insider account of why he believes most of the 43rd president’s in-office decisions were made for the greater good, and how many of those decisions could serve as a blueprint for the emergence of a thoughtful, confident conservatism. From a fresh perspective, Goeglein gives behind-the-scenes accounts of key events during that historic two-term administration, reflecting on what was right and best about the Bush years. He was in Florida for the 2000 election recount, at the White House on 9/11, and watched Bush become a reluctant but effective wartime president.

Goeglein, now the vice president with Focus on the Family, also looks back at how Bush handled matters like stem cell research, faith-based initiatives, the emergence of the Values Voters, the nominations of both Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito-in which Goeglein had a direct role-and debates over the definition of marriage.

In all, The Man in the Middle backs historians who view the legacy of President George W. Bush in a favorable light, recognizing his conservative ideas worth upholding in order to better shape our nation and change the world.

High Expectations

High Expectations

Thom S. Rainer

For over a quarter of a century the problem of losing church members has progressively increased. Today the situation is so bad that less than one-third of the members in some churches attend worship services. Church leaders are crying for help. In an effort to help church leaders, the Billy Graham School of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary conducted a massive research project involving nearly 287 churches. The most revealing aspect of the study was that the higher expectations placed on members, the greater the likelihood that the members would stay and be involved with the church. Using the data gathered from this project, Thom Rainer presents the first-ever comprehensive study about ‘closing the back door.’ Rainer looks at why people are leaving the church and how church leaders can keep the members.
