Jobs, Time and Money: Choose or Change your Career, Travel the World
Really this beneficial book, made me think about myself and increase my confidence level! I am very happy to have this excellent book!
Choose or Change your Career, Travel the World
João Sousa has traveled all over the world due to his profession as a Merchant Marine Officer. During his extensive travels, he met many successful people from different cultures and backgrounds. In this book, João Sousa explores more than 20 professions in demand, that are well paid, where you can have lots of free time and how you can get them.
Jobs, Time and Money arose from the author’s own personal struggle to find a profession that could give him a high salary and allow him to continue to do everything that he loved. There aren’t many people who can do something they love and at the same time make a good wage, but the author was able to achieve success at this. He now has 6 months’ vacation per year–and you can have long vacations too while earning a great living!
This book it’s for anyone and everyone seeking opportunities: the young person who questions what to do in life, the unemployed who don’t know which professions still have demand, or even for someone who wants to make a career change.
Choosing a career is perhaps the most difficult thing anyone ever has to do. Whatever your choices today, it will have an effect on what will happen tomorrow. More than anything else, it’s our decisions, not the conditions of our lives, that determine our destiny.
Choose or change your career, travel the world!

Cupcakes On A Tuesday: Sweet Relief For The Early Years Of Motherhood
I’d give it more stars if I could!! Every chapter strikes such a cord. It is just so relative for every single mom. It lets you know that you are not alone in this crazy journey we call motherhood. It also is such a reminder that we don’t need to be the PERFECT mom, but rather own our imperfections! We are exactly the moms are kids need us to be.
Having navigated motherhood through learning lessons the hard way, Sarah will bring relief to your journey as a mom. If motherhood is harder than you ever would have imagined, this book will encourage you that you’re not alone. As she openly shares her struggles and parenting mishaps, you will realize that you’re doing a much better job than you think.
Sarah articulates the not-so-precious parts of raising children in a relatable, compassionate way. Unlike other parenting books that highlight what you’re doing wrong, Cupcakes On A Tuesday will bring you sweet relief and remind you of all you’re doing right.

I always give 5 stars to a book I am genuinely sad to see come to an end. I have long enjoyed reading about the civil war, but I believe that I learned very much from this book and completely enjoyed the learning. The characters were believable and became friends. I highly recommend this book!
Author Jacquelyn Cook weaves the King family’s story into a tapestry featuring the most compelling figures of the time–from charismatic statesman Alexander Stephens and his doomed love for Elizabeth Craig to Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis and many others. Richly detailed and intensely researched, THE GATES OF TREVALYAN breathes the spirit of great storytelling into a fascinating historical era.

All I Need Is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans: The Tired Supergirl’s Search for Grace
I just started the book and I love the way the author is so real and vulnerable about who she is. I have already been encouraged by her words and at the same time, relieved that I am not alone! She presents issues of her own, that I identify with.
Susanna Foth Aughtmon knows what it’s like to be a tired supergirl, fighting the enemies of pride, worry, jealousy, busyness, loneliness, and many more. With humor and courage, she lays bare those times in her own life when she found it a challenge to live the life God wants for her. But even tired supergirls have a secret weapon: God’s Truth.
With God’s help, all of us can win the day against the subtle voices of Miz Do Good, Worry Man, Little Miss No Fair, and every other nemesis we encounter.
“Always with humor and style, Susanna captures the beauty of following Jesus.”–Sara Groves, singer/songwriter
“If you’ve ever needed to know that someone–anyone–has the same struggles as you, All I Need Is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans is for you.”–Kirk Noonan, managing editor, Today’s Pentecostal Evangel

Wild Fire (Wakara of Eagle Lodge)
This is a great book for girls who love adventure, horses, and romance. It is also a book about a girl who is strugling with God.
At least she has Lily, her faithful mare, and Tia, her best friend who is always up for some laughs. And even though Wakara is going to be doing a lot of cleaning this summer at Eagle Lodge, her family’s wilderness resort, at least there’s that cute new ranch hand to distract her. It might not be such a bad summer after all.
Anne, the native housekeeper, teaches Wakara about her own special heritage and what it means to be a child of God. But just when it seems like the family is finally pulling together, disaster strikes, and Wakara must rely on her outdoor skills to survive the Wild Fire.

It renewed my vigor to keep my eye on the goal and not the trials of life. I can honestly say that the story portrayed is very inspirational and appeared to have truth to it. As a believer, it definitely gives you something to look forward to when we do go to heaven.
When a planned getaway with his wife turns into a shopping trip for the girls, Schuyler Hunt finds himself looking for something else to do. An ad for a vacation cottage catches his eye, and he sets off in search of a much-needed break. When he arrives, he finds something far different from the typical summer home experience. In fact, he may have found a little slice of heaven.
The proprietor–along with a number of unexpected and yet familiar guests–welcomes him with food, rest, and conversation, until what started out as an escape from everyday life turns into something much, much more . . .
“There is a real world all around us. We taste and feel it every day. There is also another world where God dwells and those who have gone before us live with Jesus. Dann Stouten helps us discover that these two places intersect more than we often notice. If we pay close attention, we just might see, smell, and learn to taste the goodness of a world beyond this one.”–Kevin Harney, author of Reckless Faith

People Can’t Drive You Crazy If You Don’t Give Them the Keys
A must read! His best of several great books
Strange as it may seem, other people are not nearly as committed to our happiness as we are. In fact, sometimes it seems like they’re on a mission to make us miserable! There’s always that one person. The one who hijacks our emotions. The one who seems to thrive on drama. If we could just “fix” that person, everything would be better. But we can’t fix other people. We can only make choices about ourselves.
In this cut-to-the-chase book, communication expert Mike Bechtle shows you how to stop being a victim of other people’s craziness. With commonsense wisdom and proactive advice that you can put into practice immediately, Bechtle gives you a proven strategy to handle crazy people–and stay sane while doing it.
There will always be difficult people. But this fresh perspective on dealing with them can change your life–starting today!

Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way
I don’t think I have ever read such an uplifting book given the backdrop of a horrible illness and situation. It is raw. It is honest. It is compelling. It makes you rethink your own life. It makes you wonder how you would deal with family crises. It is simply the most profound and heartfelt story I have ever read. It is well written.
Laura Sobiech tells the amazing story of how God used her son’s battle with cancer to touch the lives of millions.
Okay, Lord, you can have him. But if he must die, I want it to be for something big. I want someone’s life to be changed forever.
This is what Laura Sobeich prayed when she found out her seventeen-year-old son had only one year to live. With this desperate prayer, she released her son to God’s will.
At that point, Zach Sobiech was just another teenager battling cancer. When his mother told him to think about writing good-bye letters to family and friends, he decided instead to write songs. One of them, Clouds, captured hearts and changed not one life but millions, making him an international sensation.
But Zach’s story is not just about music. It’s a testament to what can happen when you live as if each day might be your last. It’s a story about the human spirit. It’s about how God used a dying boy from a small town in Minnesota to touch the hearts of millions including top executives in the music industry, major music artists, news anchors, talk show hosts, actors, priests and pastors, and school children across the globe.
Zach once said, I want to be known as the kid who went down fighting, and didn’t really lose. Fly a Little Higher is about how God used Zach to do something big.

The Choose Yourself Guide To Wealth
To me, this book’s message is: You’re right. We’re ALL totally indoctrinated into myths created by others for their benefit. And it’s OK. Let’s get going. Choose Yourself. Here’s HOW.
This is the first financial book in which the author REVEALS HOW HE, PERSONALLY, MAKES HIS OWN MONEY.
We are living in an epic period of change, danger and opportunity. The economy is crashing and booming every few years. People are getting fired and replaced by computers and Chinese workers. The stock market crashes with regularity.
Every “fix” from the government makes things worse. The Old World has been demolished… and people are desperate for answers.
James Altucher’s “The Choose Yourself Guide To Wealth” contains those answers. This is the field guide to the “New World” we live in. You can play by the old rules and get left behind, or you can use these new ideas and become wealthy.
This is not a book for the faint of heart. Read at your own risk, because sometimes the truth is hard to take. But for those who are ready to hear, James provides an updated map of the new territory for generating wealth and freedom.
This book is the eye-opener of the century, it is the guide to building, keeping, and investing your money and breaking free from the chains of rusted, old thinking.

I enjoyed reading Second Chances and would most definitely recommend it.
After Katie Fisher’s husband and young son are killed in a house fire, the young Amish widow returns to her parents’ home broken-hearted with her faith in shambles. Katie can never imagine herself marrying again. Katie quickly finds herself falling in love with Joseph’s children, and though Katie and Joseph cannot spend time together unsupervised due to the strict tenants of their Ordnung, the widow and widower find themselves growing closer in spirit as well. But when a new tragedy threatens the fragile future Katie and Joseph have begun to build, will the couple have the faith to risk a second chance at love?

When There is Love: A Christian Romance (The McKinleys Book 3)
Been looking forward to reading this book! Always sad when I’m done and have to wait on the next one.
Born with a form of dwarfism, Victoria McKinley has spent her whole life proving she can do anything an average size person can. But she’s not sure that includes dating her brother’s best friend. For the past few months, Victoria has managed to brush aside Trent Hause’s not-so-subtle attempts to flirt with her. Unfortunately, her last two experiences with dating average size men have not gone well, and she’s not sure if the third time’s a charm or if it will be a strike-out.
Trent Hause’s feelings for his best friend’s sister have grown quite unexpectedly from friendship to something much more. But after several months of her rebuffing his lighthearted attempts to get her to go out with him, he realizes that perhaps a different approach is in order. When the opportunity presents itself for Trent to help Victoria out, he jumps at the chance to show her that underneath his carefree exterior is a man of depth who loves her.
Even as she’s drawn to Trent, Victoria realizes she has to face the fears and insecurities she’s long denied or risk losing her chance at happiness. Will she come to embrace God’s will for her life and find love with Trent? Or will fear bind her to the safe life she’s been living for far too long?

Terri: inspirational women’s fiction (The Women of Valley View Book 2)
Terri is a great story about how life happens to people. It demonstrates that there’s no way to plan for everything so it becomes essential to rely on God to strengthen and lead the way. It is the kind of book that feels like a warm hug. It is a fabulous addition to the Women of Valley View Series!
Steve is widower, a father of two teenaged girls, and a successful writer. He is also the object of Terri’s secret affections. At least he was until a casual comment from him leads her to believe that he has all the family he’ll ever want.
Iris and Samantha Evans have set their sights on Terri as the perfect stepmother. Their matchmaking plans include equal parts of prayer and deception. Will their scheming result in the wedding of their dreams, or will the harsh confrontation between Steve and the parents of Terri’s foster child be an obstacle they can’t overcome?
