Beautiful Battle: A Woman’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare
Whether you’re currently experiencing the terrorizing emptiness of spiritual warfare, you have in the past, or you’re headed there in the future, I highly recommend keeping a copy of this book tucked under your armor. Mary only points to the truth of Scripture as weaponry against evil, but she is a wise friend to keep beside us in battle.
What does any of that have to do with me?
You’ve heard plenty of talk about evil. You’ve heard about binding Satan and breaking strongholds and calling demons by name. You’ve heard you should claim your victory in Christ…but you’re not really sure how to do that.
This isn’t a book about evil.
With passion and strength, Mary DeMuth brings balance and insight to the often murky realm of spiritual warfare. As you embrace the abundant life to which God calls his daughters, she’ll tell you why your voice matters for eternity. And on the darkest days, you’ll know that spiritual warfare is about bowing before the Creator, not cowering before the devil. It’s about finding freedom and beauty in the midst of devastation. It’s about the power of God to heal our hearts, to move mountains, to intercede when we’re weary. It’s about crucifixion and a defiant, glorious resurrection.
It’s about truth.
It’s about power.
Join the beautiful battle, and be renewed on the journey.

This was a great book and I would definitely suggest it for any Church library. I will be on the lookout for the next books from this author.
Martha’s entire life is marked by her responsibilities to her family. In the absence of her mother, she runs the household, makes the meals, cares for her father, and attempts to keep her absentminded younger sister on task. In the midst of her duties, will she ever find time to live her own life–or find her own love?
This touching, well-researched portrayal of Martha of Bethany, sister of Mary and Lazarus, unveils the woman within the Bible character. Through Diana Wallis Taylor’s lush descriptions and inspired fusion of imagined and recorded dialogue, Martha’s world–her trials, triumphs, and loves–vibrantly comes to life.
Follow Martha as she navigates the complicated worlds of family, faith, and love . . . and you’ll never read her story the same way again.
Praise for Taylor’s first novel Journey to the Well
“Set in a vividly depicted first century, this absorbing debut novel is populated with charming characters.”–Library Journal

Fire and Ice (Brides of Weatherton Book 2)
Once again Leah Atwood has written a story that grabs you at the beginning and keeps you to the end. Her characters come alive for you as they learn that God opens another door as He closes one. I love her writing style. Waiting impatiently (lol) for the next one in the series. I was given this copy for an honest review.
After a time of correspondence, she fancied herself in love with Patrick and agreed to marry him. She packed the few belongings she had, said goodbye to her family, and left her home for romance in the west.
But when she arrived in Weatherton, Patrick was nowhere to be found. Weeks went by, and with no money to return home, Maeve was stuck in limbo, living with Patrick’s family. Every day that passed, she realized more and more that Patrick was not that man he portrayed in his letters.
When he finally does return, will Maeve be able to adapt to changes? And can she trust herself enough to fall in love or will she fall back to her practical self?
In the second Brides of Weatherton novella, best-selling author, Leah Atwood, delivers another sweet, Christian romance full of faith, love, friendship, and family.
Can be read as a stand-alone.

Survival Guide for Young Women: Learning How to Navigate Today’s World with Grace and Strength
Holly Wagner with the help of Nicole Reyes has written another outstanding book. I have yet to pick up a God Chicks book that has not made me smile and laugh out loud at times. Wagner has a writing style that makes it seem like you are having a personal conversation with a long time friend instead of reading a book.

Confessions of a De-cluttering Junkie
I always enjoy chautonas books. This one motivated me to declutter. I could relate to the story in my life. I think this book saved me from become a bigger hoarder! A humorous way to deal with a true ‘collecting ‘ problem for me. I loved the series so of course I recommend it. As said before, I love chautona havig books, cant think of one I wouldn’t recommend.
Her family doesn’t know what to think of her and her. While Jacob does enjoy the streamlined beauty of his new life, he is also just as frustrated as their sons as Kaye goes from clean up to clear out–including treasured possessions.

Light in the Wilderness, A: A Novel
I JUST received this book in the mail, and as soon as I got it I tore into it. Sitting on my back deck in the shade, sipping on a glass of cold iced tea; this book had me entranced from the very beginning. Every character is real, leaping right into your world, carrying you away and into theirs.
Nancy Hawkins is loathe to leave her settled life for the treacherous journey by wagon train, but she is so deeply in love with her husband that she knows she will follow him anywhere–even when the trek exacts a terrible cost.
Betsy is a Kalapuya Indian, the last remnant of a once proud tribe in the Willamette Valley in Oregon territory. She spends her time trying to impart the wisdom and ways of her people to her grandson. But she will soon have another person to care for.
As season turns to season, suspicion turns to friendship, and fear turns to courage, three spirited women will discover what it means to be truly free in a land that makes promises it cannot fulfill. This multilayered story from bestselling author Jane Kirkpatrick will grip readers’ hearts and minds as they travel with Letitia on the dusty and dangerous Oregon trail into the boundless American West.

Once again Nancy Moser chooses a unique setting and characters for An Unlikely Suitor. She takes us to the Gilded Age NYC tenements and the grandeur of the summer cottages, really mansions on Newport Island. The author creates unforgettable and flawed characters; I appreciated that. The main character Lucy is especially convincing and engaging. I loved all the descriptions of the clothing, coaches, homes in the story.

Hearts Stolen (A Texas Romance Book 2)
I loved everything about “Hearts Stolen”. The plot engaged me from the very beginning and held my interest until the end. Ample drama, danger, and romance filled its pages along with more than a surprise or two – not all good ones. I admired the integrity of both Sassy and Levi and the fine example they provide for the reader.

A Year of Blind Dates: A Single Girl’s Search for “The One”
Megan’s book was fun and easy to read and very reminiscent of my own experience of blind dates (5 years in my case). Thankfully, I found “The One” last year and married him this year.
A Year of Blind Dates follows Megan’s dating adventures in Southern California as she searches for Mr. Right, not just Mr. Right Now. As her “ideal guy” changes over time, the one thing that is never negotiable is her desire to find a man with a deep spiritual side. But can she have the “total package” without compromising her strong faith? Can Megan trust the dating service to deliver a man of God who will make her laugh and treat her well? This is the story of Megan’s search for the man of her dreams, and the good, bad, and really, really bad dates along the way.
