This book has been a comfort through a very difficult time of my life. It helped me realize that positive thoughts and actions bring positive results . God has a plan and will lead us through any situation if we trust him. He sees where we are headed and will guide us in the right direction.

Baggage Claim (Tru Exceptions – Christian Romantic Suspense, Book 1)
I enjoyed Ms. Tru’s writing style. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for another one. She masterfully wove the story and I was hooked from the first chapter. I don’t read fiction much anymore but I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Looking forward to the next book.
Montana native, Rachel Saunders, is looking forward to her all-expense paid weekend trip to New York. But, when her luggage is lost and she is accosted by an infuriating Homeland Security agent named Dawson Tate, events take a dangerous turn. Now, can she and Dawson must elude their enemies and prevent a terrorist attack before the bomb in their possession is detonated in the center of Manhattan–all while keeping their obvious attraction to one another in check? Find out in this Romantic Thriller.
*Please Note* — While Baggage Claim is a clean romance and labeled ‘Christian Romantic Suspense,’ there is not a strong faith message in this first book. Instead, it forms the basis for a spiritual journey that spans the trilogy and, in turn, redefines the main character’s relationship with God and definition of Christianity.
Baggage Claim is Book 1 in the thrilling Tru Exceptions series.

Moms’ Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl World (Momz Guides to the Tween-Girl World)
I absolute love this book. It helps you understand what is going on with your tween, but is not a “do this and all will be well” book. It shows you how to find the positive even in what you consider bad behavior. That’s not to say, “don’t do anything about bad behavior” , but to say it’s not the end of her world!! Please read this book if you have or will have a tween.

Simple Gifts (Women of Faith Gifts)
I loved this book. It will go on my shelf of to be kept. Her dialogue between characters and descriptions make the story so real. I just felt the entire story. I love her other books too and recommend all of them highly.

I have always considered this book to be one of Elizabeth White’s best. Part of that, I suppose, is that I have lived in Mobile all my life and felt right at home with this book. However, the combination of mystery, romance and christian influence make for some very interesting reading.
Elizabeth White has many great books, but this is my favorite!
With her faithful black Lab Monty she moves to the charming backwater city of Mobile, Alabama to uncover the truth. But this world-traveled military brat with a string of letters behind her name finds herself wholly unprepared to navigate the cultural quagmires of the Deep South.
Captivated by the warmth and joy of her new circle of friends, Susannah struggles to keep from falling for a subject who refuses to be anything but a man of integrity, compassion, and lethal Southern charm. Fireworks offers a glimpse into heart of the South and a cynical young woman’s first encounter with Christ-like love.

In this book, author Elizabeth White paints a vibrant picture of the south and politics. Each time the book threatened to fall into a cliché, she managed to write beyond it. And each time I anticipated where the plot headed, she managed to keep me interested anyway.
Journalist Cole McGaughan has ambitions too. Working as a religion writer for the New York Daily Journal, he longs to become a political reporter. Then his old friend Matt Hogan, a private investigator, calls with a tip. The lovely young judge may be hiding a secret that could derail her campaign. Would Cole like to be the one to break the story?
Cole sees a clear road to his goal, but there’s a problem. Laurel’s history is entangled with his own, and he must decide if the story that could make his career is worth the price he’d have to pay. Can Cole and Laurel find forgiveness and turn their hidden past into a hopeful future—and somehow keep it all off the record?

Gathering Shadows (Finding Sanctuary Book #1)
Overall, this was very well written book with great characters, and a killer plot. There was definitely a lot going on, and a ton of secrets! While this wasn’t quite what I was expecting, I was surprised by how much I liked it. This book was hard to put down!
Almost as soon as she arrives, she meets the town’s handsome young mayor, Rueben King, and together they begin to uncover long held secrets that could tear the small town apart and change everything Wynter thought she knew about her life. As the truth of her family’s past hides in the shadows, it’s clear someone will stop at nothing to keep the answers she’s searching for hidden forever–even if the cost is Wynter’s very life.

Waiting for a View (Bloomfield series)
I enjoyed being drawn into the town of Bloomfield. I appreciated being able to relax and escape into to the story.
Once he moves on, Sherry is pursued by Brad Henderson, an old friend who always seems to be there when she needs a helping hand. His kindness only annoys Sherry until one day she is shocked into self-reflection when a little girl points to her and asks her mother if she’s “the sad woman who will wind up being an old maid.”
With a friend’s encouragement, Sherry plans a turnaround, putting her house on the market and her name on the waiting list for a nice apartment with a view of the lake. She also agrees to go out with Brad, another bold step outside her comfort zone.
Letting go of the past is about as simple as an elephant picking up a pea, but for the first time in her life Sherry will leap into the exhilarating world of the great unknown, a place where faith is crucial and true love is waiting.

For the Love of Pete (Bloomfield series Book 5)
Debby Mayne reminds me a little of Jan Karon. She has that same down home feel that Karon brought with the Milford Series. Neither were fast-paced reads with an intense storyline, but were rather good, calm, and settling books for those days when you just need a place to settle in and relax. The beginning of this book took a little longer for me to feel attached to the book, but after a few chapters, I was involved.

A Bump in Life: True Stories of Hope & Courage During an Unplanned Pregnancy
I would recommend this book to anyone that needs uplifting during a rough time in their life, especially any young woman that finds herself in this situation. I couldn’t put this book down I read it all in a few hours. Amy Ford has blessed so many young woman and I pray the writing of this book is just the VERY beginning! It’s a must read for sure.
There’s Amy, the Christian girl who could not face her parents but fainted at the abortion clinic just in time to stop the procedure from happening that day (or ever). Jayd could not raise her baby, but she was determined to bless the adoptive parents with a special dedication ceremony honoring their new family.

Taylor grew up without a father and felt a need to be validated by men. As a high school junior she became pregnant after a first date only to have the guy change his phone number and disappear – but she gave birth to a baby girl that has stolen her heart.
Overflowing with encouragement, A Bump in Life will help anyone going through or connected with this situation move from feelings of loneliness, shame, and worry to the far more lasting joy that is God’s redemptive blessing of a child.

Confessions of a Not-So-Supermodel: Faith, Friends, and Festival Queens (invert)
Awesome read from a true prospective. Would highly recommend for any teenager, but especially ones that struggle with self worth.
Brooklyn Lindsey grew up dreaming of being a supermodel. She even had a chance to do some modeling and became a festival queen. Her experiences taught her a lot about what she did and didn’t want in life. But it wasn’t until she became a youth pastor that she realized God had already set her “supermodel” dream in motion. God had plans for her to be a different kind of “supermodel.”
God has a plan for you, too—and it’s probably bigger than anything you could ever imagine. Read along as Brooklyn shares stories of triumph and tragedy as an aspiring model, and learn how your faith and your friends play a significant role in who you are and who you’ll become.
In Confessions of a Not-So-Super Model you’ll begin to reshape the way you see yourself and the way you dream. You’ll discover that being a supermodel doesn’t always require fabulous hair and a great figure.

More Than Skin Deep: A Guide to Self and Soul
Beyond just the content of her writing, she also includes a journaling element throughout the chapters along with questions at the end of each. This allows the book to go beyond just a quick read, but also something can be looked back on and even re-read again later on in life.

The Radical Reformission: Reaching Out without Selling Out
This is one of the most refreshing and engaging books on church/culture that I’ve read, and is probably THE best book I’ve read from a leader in the emerging church.
This basic primer on the interface between gospel and culture highlights the contrast between presentation evangelism and participation evangelism. It helps Christians navigate between the twin pitfalls of syncretism (being so culturally irrelevant that you lose your message) and sectarianism (being so culturally irrelevant that you lose your mission). Included are interviews with those who have crossed cultural barriers, such as a television producer, exotic dancer, tattoo studio owner, and band manager. The appendix represents eight portals into the future: population, family, health/medicine, creating, learning, sexuality, and religion.
Mark Driscoll was recently featured on the ABC special The Changing of Worship.

Unrivaled: a novel (Against All Expectations Collection Book 6)
I’ve read numerous books by Siri Mitchell now, and what I can tell you is that you are ALWAYS left wanting more.
Lucy Kendall returns from a tour of the Continent, her luggage filled with the latest fashions and a mind fired by inspiration. After tasting Europe’s best confections, she’s sure she’ll come up with a recipe that will save her father’s struggling candy business and reverse their fortunes. But she soon discovers that their biggest competitor, the cheat who swindled her father out of his prize recipe, has now hired a promotions manager–a cocky, handsome out-of-towner who gets under Lucy’s skin.
Charlie Clarke’s new role at Standard Manufacturing is the chance of a lifetime. He can put some rough times behind him and reconnect with the father he’s never known. The one thing he never counted on, however, was tenacious Lucy Kendall. She’s making his work life miserable…and making herself impossible for him to forget.

An Accidental Life is a solid read. The characters are faced with difficult yet realistic choices, the plot is certainly original, and the Christian element, while present, wasn’t overbearing. And although the last third of the novel–the legal case– was outstanding, the excellent premise didn’t quite deliver as a whole novel.
New from lawyer-turned-novelist Pamela binnings Ewen, An Accidental Life is fiction based on fact: the testimony of registered nurse Jill Stanek before a U.S. Congressional Committee confirming that it was routine for doctors in Chicago’s Christ Hospital to have nurses take infants born alive during abortions down to a “soiled utility room” and leave them to die.
Stanek’s testimony led Congress to enact the Born Alive Infant Protection Act of 2001, a federal-only law that still does not bind state run hospitals or private clinics. The fact remains that what happens to abortion survivors is one of the best kept secrets in the world.

A Dangerous Stage (Protection for Hire)
Camy Tang always delivers. This book was great from the start. The characters are well developed and the story line is new. Really looking forward to the 3rd book in this series, as I have already finished the 2nd.

Hired by one of the contestants, she works with Charles Britton—the lawyer who sent her to prison—to discover the dark figures manipulating the contest from behind the scenes.
