This was a pretty good book. I’ll be honest, the title turned me off a bit initially…I was afraid that it would be nothing but annoyingly cheesy material, but I’m happy to say that wasn’t the case. The book is well-written

I found the research to be very accurate and interesting. I think any fan of historical fiction who enjoys some romance and adventure thrown in, would really enjoy this as is a vast departure from events usually covered in the majority of historical fiction titles.

It was a very well written and entertaining story. I just wished it could have been longer. I think it must have been originally written for a book containing more short stories.

It is very easy to see how Lewis has influenced so many writers today, even the new gneration, who are just beginning to write. His legacy continues on in the minds and pens of Christian thinkers and writers who desperately want to help individuals grow closer to God and examine their faith to keep it vital.
This collection, carefully chosen and arranged by Walter Hooper, is the most extensive ever published. Included here are the letters Lewis wrote to such luminaries as J.R.R. Tolkien, Owen Barfield, Arthur C. Clarke, Sheldon Vanauken, and Dom Bede Griffiths. To some particular friends, such as Dorothy L. Sayers, Lewis wrote fifty letters alone. The letters deal with all of Lewis’s interests—theology, literary criticism, poetry, fantasy, children’s stories—as well as his relationships with family members and friends.

This is a fabulous devotional book. The author has an extraordinary gift for how she things and is able to tell a beautiful story or point with each one. I highly recommend this book! I can’t for others and what a great cause!
Along the way, she’s eaten pig snouts and brushed her teeth with bamboo and salt toothpaste. Ugh.

It is amazing how time helps. In time, I have learned to overcome my own albatross. I have learned to live again, to love again.
