21 Fun Crafts for Kids: Easy Fabric and Paper Crafts for All Four Seasons
Full of great craft ideas for kids, categorized into four seasons, for example, using fall leaves to create an adorable fox face craft. Easy to find materials and clear instructions.
Encouraging your children to be creative and use their imaginations has never been so easy.
All of the crafts listed can be adapted according to your household’s needs and resources. Remember, it’s always handy to have a rainbow assortment of pens, pencils and colored paper for these projects. Beyond that, all of the items you’ll need can be easily and cheaply attained if you don’t already have them.
This includes household goods such as straws (for the Homemade Paper Blower) and yogurt pots (see The Snowman, under Beautiful Baubles). You can even have a little family trip to find some of the items you’ll need, such as collecting a variety of red, yellow, brown and orange leaves for your Animal Leaves.
Whatever the weather you can help your kids to create some fun, seasonal crafts with this book.
Some of the crafts relate to the specific season, while others are based on events that happen within that season. These can not only be used as a way to spend an afternoon but to teach your kids while they play; for instance, the Giant Pencil Case is fun to make but can help your kids to be more organized and even keen about their school work. Kids learn as they play, and being creative is a fun way to test their skills and imagination.

The Fourth Kingdom (The Kingdom Chronicles Book 1)
Another awesome book! I started this book and couldn’t put it down.

I have read several amazing books so far this year, including A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller, The Year of Living Biblically and AJ Jacobs, and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, but if I could only read one, I would have chosen this one for me. It is what I needed, and if you have struggles with doubt, then you need to get this book.
After three decades of knowing God, understanding Christianity, and living a Christian life, Boyett has come to the place where he can voice the tough questions and travel the road of uncertainty with blinders off, candor on.
The message along the way is one of encouragement: Relax. Rely on the grace of a merciful God, a kind father who realizes that his finite creatures must have doubts, should have questions, and will have trouble making sense of an infinite Creator. Ultimately, Boyett concludes that doubt and faith are not polar opposites, but actually work together, existing side-by-side.
Uplifting, entertaining, hopeful, O Me of Little Faith will strike a chord with you and any Christian who’s dealing with the uncertainties of living life in pursuit of a God who occasionally seems to disappear.

What Southern Women Know about Faith: Kitchen Table Stories and Back Porch Comfort
I read a great deal of inspirational books by many wonderful men and women of God. This is one of the best books that I have ever read. It has helped me and will continue to do so as I go back and reread my favorite chapters for years to come.
As Ronda shares, Southerners don’t just talk about God, they have a “kitchen-table faith,” that feels like a comfortable, trusted neighbor who sits down and stays for a good, long visit. It’s a faith you live and breathe, day-in, day-out, whether it’s praying to the good Lord as you sit on the porch swing or finding joy in a delicious pan of cornbread. As Ronda says, Southern faith “is a faith that is plain, simple, and sturdy, that is utilitarian in practice and that fits as comfortably in the hands of Southern women as a baby, an iron skillet, a hair brush, a telephone, or a broom.”
From stories of moonshine and revivals, Sunday dinners and new Easter outfits, prayers answered and griefs shared, you’ll discover a faith that supports you when the trials and heartaches of life cause you to stumble, a faith that grabs you by the elbow and steadies you on the path.

Something New (The Plain City Bridesmaids Book 2)
To start with, OH MY! Author Dianne Christner did it again! This story is the third book in author Dianne Christners series, Plain City Bridesmaids. And believe me when I say, “I want more from this series!”

The author has a unique way of really drawing you back to the Wild West. I felt fully encapsulated in the past amongst the Indians and rough terrain. The views of the Grand Canyon were breathtaking, even without photographs. It made me want to visit there myself!

Gingham Mountain (Lassoed in Texas Book 3)
I adore Petticoat Ranch and Calico Canyon, and had high hopes for Gingham Mountain. These sassy westerns are filled with romance, heart, and characters that leave you in stitches. Gingham Mountain is a wonderful addition to the series.

Central Park Rendezvous (Romancing America)
Most Barbour novella collections are four separate but related romances, usually four friends or siblings, four people in the same location, or four members of the same family in different generations. While Central Park Rendevous follows this general pattern, it is different and I really liked that originality.

Calico Brides (Romancing America)
Each of these stories were quick and easy to read. I enjoyed them and they made me smile

Stand-In Groom (Brides of Bonneterre Book 1)
This Christian romance is a well-written, thoroughly enjoyable read. The pacing was excellent and kept me wanting to know what came next. I liked how the two main characters truly strove to live out their high ideals in less than ideal circumstances. While neither main character was perfect, they were very clearly perfect for each other.

A Wedding Homerun in Loveland, Ohio (Brides & Weddings)
I enjoyed everything about this book. It is a beautiful love story with characters that drew me in and held my attention all the way through. You can’t help but fall in love with Mac, who takes a special interest in Megan’s son, Sammy.

Sharpshooter in Petticoats (Sophie’s Daughters Book 3)
I loved this book! Mary Connealy winds up the epic she started in ‘Petticoat Ranch’ and I’m so sorry to say goodby to these people. I’m not going to give up any of the plot, but Mandy Gray is a super lady and this book is sad, funny, reverent and absolutely outstanding. Go get it!

Anyone who loves desserts but don’t want to feel guilty after eating it will enjoy this book. It has health information at the start and packed with delicious desserts recipes which is easy to understand and easy to follow and ingredients which can be found from most supermarkets.
Do you need to eat a gluten free diet due to having Celiac Disease or being a Paleo Diet fan? Do you wish you could enjoy the desserts your friends and family do? Well you can with a few small tweaks.
Where there is a will there is a way as they say and “Gluten Free Desserts” is an example of that. Being a lover of desserts and one who wanted to watch her gluten intake Charity decided it was time to start testing. There were many failed attempts at making her favorite desserts gluten free (don’t worry, they are not in the book) but she finally created 50 worth writing about.
Gluten Free Does Not Limit You
Granted learning to eat gluten free can be quite the chore. Learning how to read labels and watch for secret hidden gluten containing ingredients can make it feel like you need a degree in some type of science. Who makes words up like:
Triticum vulgare (wheat)
Triticale (cross between wheat and rye)
Hordeum vulgare (barley)
Secale cereale (rye)
Well don’t worry about all that now. You can confidently make yourself some delicious gluten free dessert tonight. Take a label reading sabbatical for the night. Invite friends over to help you eat the Double Chocolate Mocha Cookies you will be making.
Go ahead and knock their gluten eating socks off with your gluten free master pieces. There is a misconception that gluten free eating has to be bland and you are about to crush that myth. Your friends will never know what hit them and their stomachs will thank you for it.
You Control The Gluten Now
The great thing about making your own desserts vs. buying from the store is that you know exactly what went into them. You do not have to guess at whether or not that bite of brownie is going to end in a night full of unwanted trips to the bathroom. You are in full control when you are the one in the kitchen. Actually make your husband do it but you get my point.
You do not have to give up on the sweeter things in life when you have recipe books like “Gluten Free Desserts” in your digital cupboard. Head out to the grocery store, grab your gluten free ingredients and get baking.
Some Of The Recipes You Will Find Inside

I have admired Josh Turner as a performer and this book gives a deeper insight into the man and his approach to life and his music. The short devotionals are easy to read and thought-provoking. I admire him even more after reading his book.

Described as a devoted family man, strong Christian, generous philanthropist, and passionate sports fan, Josh Turner is one busy guy. And despite his recording schedule, award shows, and national tour dates, a few of his biggest priorities in life are to instill good values into his three young sons, be a devoted husband, and be a strong testimony for God.

Total Church: A Radical Reshaping around Gospel and Community (Re:Lit)
Total Church is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time and may be THE best books I’ve read on church.
“Church is not a meeting you attend or a place you enter,” write pastors Tim Chester and Steve Timmis. “It’s an identity that is ours in Christ. An identity that shapes the whole of life so that life and mission become ‘total church.'” With that as their premise, they emphasize two overarching principles to govern the practice of church and mission: being gospel-centered and being community-centered. When these principles take precedence, say the authors, the truth of the Word is upheld, the mission of the gospel is carried out, and the priority of relationships is practiced in radical ways. The church becomes not just another commitment to juggle but a 24/7 lifestyle where programs, big events, and teaching from one person take a backseat to sharing lives, reaching out, and learning about God together.
In Total Church, Chester and Timmis first outline the biblical case for making gospel and community central and then apply this dual focus to evangelism, social involvement, church planting, world missions, discipleship, pastoral care, spirituality, theology, apologetics, youth and children’s work. As this insightful book calls the body of Christ to rethink its perspective and practice of church, it charts a middle path between the emerging church movement and conservative evangelicalism that all believers will find helpful.
