Frugal Simplicity: 99 Ways to Declutter, Save Money & Simplify Your Life
There’s no new information here, no magic bullet, but the advice given is practical, comprehensive, and well-organized. Good for the beginning frugalista or as a reminder to the well-practiced.
Some Key Points Covered:
** Living a frugal life doesn’t have to make you feel deprived or like you’re doing without.
** Decluttering has many benefits beyond just having less stuff.
** Saving money can be fun and very rewarding.
I grew up in a very frugal home. My dad was a child during the Great Depression of the 1930’s, so he learned from an early age to “make do or do without.” Growing up under his roof, I actually considered him a “tightwad.” But as an adult, I’m thankful for the lessons I learned. I’m very good at pinching a penny, yet as I’ve gotten older I’ve also learned how to enjoy life as well. Living as a tightwad does not lend itself toward a fulfilling life. In this book, my aim is to help you learn to declutter, save money, simplify, AND live a more fulfilling life.
IT CAN BE DONE!
You don’t have to clip coupons, and you don’t have to frantically shop sales, yet you can learn how to save money in a way that’s helpful for your family. It’s a very personal thing, and finding your own balance that brings fulfillment is what only you can do.
Join me as we learn to have the proper balance and live a more enriched life!
Frugal Simplicity is broken down into 4 parts:
** MINDSET
** DECLUTTER & LIVE WITH LESS
** BE FRUGAL & SAVE MONEY
** SIMPLIFY & GET MORE OUT OF LIFE

I love this book. I love that it gave egg-free choices, dairy-free choices and even vegan choices. The best part was that it had a grown up section. This book is awesome because it is giving us recipes to make homemade ice cream without having to use those big, bulky ice cream machines that can also be expensive

Along Wooded Paths (A Big Sky Novel Book 2)
Another great read by Tricia Hoyer. Love the capture of the beautiful setting. So looking forward to number three in the series.
As Marianna begins helping those different from herself—and receiving their help—her heart contemplates two directions. She’s torn between the Amish man from Indiana whom she has long planned on marrying and the friendly Englischer who models a closer walk with God than she’s ever seen before.
Who should have young Marianna’s heart? What is God asking her to sacrifice? Her traditions? Her community? The answer is found along the wooded paths.

Love Finds You in Treasure Island, Florida
What a great book! I loved Amanda and rooted for her romance with Jerry. I loved the relationships between all the different characters. I laughed, I cried. Debby Mayne really made the setting of Treasure Island come alive. It’s the perfect read now that the kiddos are heading back to school!

Soren Kierkegaard is one of the most under-appreciated writers and courageous believers in history. This book makes him alive in a fresh way, by fictionalizing his one romance. I am glad this book was written. It is a unique gift.

Riding the Bus with My Sister: A True Life Journey
This book was a wonderful story of the joys and sorrows, ups and downs of family and disability. An easy, enjoyable read!
Rachel Simon’s sister Beth is a spirited woman who lives intensely and often joyfully. Beth, who has an intellectual disability, spends her days riding the buses in her unnamed Pennsylvania city. The drivers, a lively group, are her mentors; her fellow passengers are her community. One day, Beth asks Rachel to accompany her on the buses for an entire year. This wise, funny, deeply affecting true story is the chronicle of that remarkable time. Rachel, a writer and college teacher whose hyperbusy life camouflaged her emotional isolation, had much to learn in her sister’s extraordinary world. Full of life lessons from which any reader will profit, Riding the Bus with My Sister is “a heartwarming, life-affirming journey through both the present and the past . . . [that] might just change your life” (Boston Herald)
Elegantly woven throughout the odyssey are riveting memories of terrifying maternal abandonment, fierce sisterly loyalty, and astonishing forgiveness. Rachel Simon brings to light the almost invisible world of adults with developmental disabilities, finds unlikely heroes in everyday life, and, without sentimentality, portrays Beth as the endearing, feisty, independent person she is. This heartwarming memoir about the unbreakable bond between two very different sisters takes the reader on an inspirational journey at once unique and universal.
Riding the Bus with My Sister was made into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Rosie O’Donnell and Andie McDowell, and directed by Anjelica Huston.

The Gates of Zion (Zion Chronicles Book 1)
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an exciting book. It has the ability to keep one on the edge of their seat wanting to know more. I know this was defenately the case for me.
When photojournalist Ellie Warne snaps pictures of some ancient scrolls, she unwittingly becomes the target of a sinister plan. Whom can she trust? David Meyer, a decorated American war pilot, who seems more comfortable among the stars than on earth with her? Or the scholarly Jew, Moshe Sachar, who hides from commitment behind his studies but says he loves her?
As everything she believes is challenged, Ellie must decide whether to risk her life—and her heart—for a people she has just met.
