Rebekah (Wives of the Patriarchs Book #2): A Novel
Once again, this book is Biblically accurate, like all of Jill’s have been thus far. Jill mentions in the introduction, if I remember right, that after writing this, she saw Rebekah in a whole new light. I understand that totally…I do too. I can’t recommend this book highly enough…and I can’t wait for “Rachel.”
Join bestselling author Jill Eileen Smith as she fills in the blanks around the biblical women behind the men we know well. Her in-depth research and creative storytelling bring Rebekah’s unique story alive with romance, heartache, and the power of forgiveness.

Love’s Sacred Song ( Book #2): A Novel
Mesu does a fantastic job at weaving the songs and poetry from Song of Solomon into the story. What could have been sappy was, instead, sentimental and romantic.
A shepherdess in the northern city of Shunem, Arielah remembers the first time she laid eyes on Solomon in Jerusalem when she was just seven years old. Since then she has known that it was her destiny to become his bride. When her father, a leader of their tribe, secures a promise from King Solomon to marry Arielah as a treaty bride to help unite the kingdom, it seems her dreams may come true.
But how can this simple shepherdess live as part of Solomon’s harem? Can Solomon set aside his distractions to give himself completely to just one woman? Or will he let duty, deception, and the daily routine divide his heart?
Mesu Andrews expertly weaves the words of the Song of Solomon into this touching story of the power of love. Readers will be transported from the glowing fields of Shunem to the gleaming city of Jerusalem as they experience this rich and textured novel from a master storyteller.

Rachel (Wives of the Patriarchs Book #3): A Novel
The author most certainly did her research for this book. I compared the happenings in this story to the Bible and it is an accurate account of the Biblical story. This is why I will read more books by this author. I have already ordered a few more of her novels. I can’t wait to once again be engrossed in another great read!
But the past comes back to haunt Jacob when he finds himself on the receiving end of treachery and the victim of a cruel bait and switch. The man who wanted only one woman will end up with sisters who have never gotten along and now must spend the rest of their lives sharing a husband. In the power struggles that follow, only one woman will triumph . . . or will she?
Combining meticulous research with her own imaginings, Jill Eileen Smith not only tells one of the most famous love stories of all time but will manage to surprise even those who think they know the story inside and out.

Claudia, Wife of Pontius Pilate: A Novel
Although this book is fictional there are many parts that are historical. The author pulls the reader in and keeps interest. Very we’ll written. Exciting, informative and heart wrenching all at the same-time.
Readers will be whisked through marbled palaces, dusty marketplaces, and idyllic Italian villas as they follow the unlikely path of a woman who warrants only a passing mention in one of the Gospel accounts. Diana Wallis Taylor combines her impeccable research with her flair for drama and romance to craft a tale worthy of legend.

Sarai (Wives of the Patriarchs Book #1): A Novel
When reading a biblical fiction, I feel there is always the chance that I will get bored with the storyline–since I already know what is going to happen. But with Sarai, I found that Smith wonderfully kept my focus easily ingrained into the characters, plot, and time period.
But as the years stretch on and Sarai’s womb remains empty, she becomes desperate to fulfill her end of the bargain–lest Abram decide that he will not fulfill his. To what lengths will Sarai go in her quest to bear a son? And how long will Abram’s patience last?
Jill Eileen Smith thrilled readers with The Wives of King David series. Now she brings to life the strong and celebrated wives of the patriarchs, beginning with the beautiful and inscrutable Sarai.

Heart of a Lion (Lions of Judah Book #1)
I applaude his work and sincerely hope he continues through the Bible making the Bible come alive. I also want to make it clear to readers that some of story is fiction as he fills in details. I say read it and enjoy as I did. I really did have a hard time putting it down.
In the series debut, Heart of a Lion, Noah struggles to resist the siren call of the world’s pleasures, while straining to hear the still, small voice of his father’s God. The reader is in for a roller-coaster ride of surprises as humanity’s common ancestor fights the spiritual battle of the ages.

Upon her arrival in Redbud, Kate meets Matt Jarreau, the man her grandmother has hired to renovate the house. From the first moment
she meets Matt, Kate can’t help but be attracted to him–he’s got a combination of good looks and charisma that draw and tug at her. But she knows there’s zero chance of a romance between them. Matt’s in love with his dead wife, and even if he weren’t, Kate realizes that she’s way too ordinary for him. For Matt Jarreau is no ordinary guy. Kate discovers that he was once a great NHL hockey player who left the sport when his wife–an honest-to-goodness former Miss America–was diagnosed with brain cancer. Awesome story by a great author! This was such an easy read that again, as in most of Karen Kingsbury books, I had a hard time
putting the book down.
Molly Allen lives alone in Portland, but she left her heart back in Tennessee with a man she walked away from five years ago. They had a rare sort of love she hasn’t found since.
Ryan Kelly lives in Nashville after a broken engagement and several years on the road touring with a country music duo. He can still hear Molly’s voice encouraging him to follow his dreams; Molly, whose memory stays with him. At least he can visit The Bridge—the oldest bookstore in historic downtown Franklin—and remember the hours he and Molly once spent there.
For thirty years, Charlie and Donna Barton have run The Bridge, providing the people of middle Tennessee with coffee, conversation, and shelves of good books—even through dismal book sales and the rise of digital books. Then in May, the hundred-year flood swept through Franklin and destroyed nearly every book in the store.
Now the bank is pulling the lease on The Bridge. Despondent and without answers, Charlie considers the unthinkable. Then tragedy strikes, and suddenly, everything changes. In the face of desperate brokenness and lost opportunities, could the miracle of a second chance actually unfold?
The Bridge is a love story set against the struggle of the American bookstore, a love story you will never forget.

Love’s Awakening (The Ballantyne Legacy Book #2): A Novel
Since I really loved book one in the Ballantyne Legacy series, Love’s Reckoning, my expectations for Love’s Awakening were very high. This book exceeded my expectations and, like book one, is now a favorite read of mine.
Masterful storyteller Laura Frantz continues to unfold the stirring saga of the Ballantyne family in this majestic tale of love, loyalty, and the makings of a legacy. With rich descriptions of the people who settled and civilized a wild landscape, Frantz weaves a tapestry of characters and places that stick with the reader long after they turn the last page.
