Your Spacious Self: Clear the Clutter and Discover Who You Are
This is a amazing, life-altering book!! I’ve read many other feng shui or decluttering books, and Your Spacious Self goes way beyond the rest – it’s SOOOO holistic – such a combination – not just de-cluttering, but good soul stuff too!
Our clutter, writes Vogt, a longtime space clearing expert, “becomes like another member of the family that we feed, house, and lug around.” She shows us that it’s not our stuff, but the holding on to it that creates a force field of “stuck-ness” that clouds our perceptions and paralyzes our lives. Clutter is not just the junk spilling out of the closet. It is any thing or thought that prevents us from experiencing who we truly are. Clearing is not a tedious exercise of throwing away, but a gentle journey of letting go – one small step, drawer, or moment at a time.
With all-new nourishing lessons in slowing down, simplifying, and self-care, Your Spacious Self shows you how to clear your home, quiet the mind, and restore your spirit, in ways that feel good and last a lifetime. Included are daily tips and meditations, a weekly worksheet, guidelines for starting and maintaining a clearing support group – perfect for book groups and support groups.

Crazy Busy: A (Mercifully) Short Book about a (Really) Big Problem
Very thought provoking especially in this crazy busy culture. Definitely worth your time and it is not too long. CAreful though, it will make you evaluate your life.
Winner of the 2014 Christian Book of the Year Award
“I’M TOO BUSY!” We’ve all heard it. We’ve all said it. All too often, busyness gets the best of us.
Just one look at our jam-packed schedules tells us how hard it can be to strike a well-reasoned balance between doing nothing and doing it all.
That’s why award-winning author and pastor Kevin DeYoung addresses the busyness problem head on in his newest book, Crazy Busy — and not with the typical arsenal of time management tips, but rather with the biblical tools we need to get to the source of the issue and pull the problem out by the roots.
Highly practical and super short, Crazy Busy will help you put an end to “busyness as usual.”

Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart: How to Know for Sure You Are Saved
I love that Greear tackled all of these questions and more with his book, leaving no room for doubt. Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart will answer any question you may have on salvation and give you peace on the subject.
In Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart, J. D. shows that faulty ways of present- ing the gospel are a leading source of the confusion. Our presentations may not be heretical, but they are sometimes misleading. The idea of “asking Jesus into your heart” or “giving your life to Jesus” often gives false assurance to those who are not saved—and keeps those who genuinely are saved from fully embracing that reality.
Greear unpacks the doctrine of assurance, showing that salvation is a posture we take to the promise of God in Christ, a posture that begins at a certain point and is maintained for the rest of our lives. He also answers the tough questions about assurance: What exactly is faith? What is repentance? Why are there so many warnings that seem to imply we can lose our salvation?
Such issues are handled with respect to the theological rigors they require, but Greear never loses his pastoral sensitivity or a communication technique that makes this message teachable to a wide audience from teens to adults.

Weakness Is the Way: Life with Christ Our Strength
All in all, I highly recommend this small book. It would make a great small group or Bible study guide and for anyone preaching or teaching through 2 Corinthians, this would be an excellent supplement to more scholarly treatments. And as with all of his teachings, Dr. Packer’s modus operandi comes through loud and clear: that theology is for doxology (that studying Scripture in depth ought to result in a response of worship).

Huckleberry Hill — what a delightful, fun read! If you’re a fan of Amish fiction and want to enjoy a refreshing, entertaining story, Jennifer Beckstrand’s first book in her Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill series is just the thing for you.
With their thirteen children grown, Anna and Felty Helmuth are ready for their next adventure. That means trying their hands at matchmaking–because what could be more fun than igniting love when it’s right–and undoing mismatches when they’re wrong. Now Huckleberry Hill just might turn out to be the most romantic spot in Wisconsin. . .
Lia Shetler is resigned to being a spinster. She’s too tall and sturdy to ever be marriageable–so says her overbearing dat. Instead, she’s helping her pretty, spoiled sister Rachel secure the perfect husband–the Helmuths’ grandson, Moses Zimmerman. But the more Lia sees of Moses’ gently teasing ways and quiet understanding, the more she wishes he could be hers alone. . .
Moses knew his grandparents couldn’t resist trying to find him a wife. But he never expected it would be the graceful, sensible Lia–a woman who is tall enough to look him in the eye, and honest enough to make him question a promise holding him to his past. Now both will need the kind of miracles only faith and courage can bring to finally reach for a lifetime of happiness. . .
“A delightful cast of characters in a story that overflows with Amish love and laughter.” –Charlotte Hubbard, author of Autumn Winds

The Guardian Duke (A Forgotten Castles Novel)
Love this story and the time it’s set in.
Can’t wait to see what happens next in the series. Thanks.
Gabriel, the Duke of St. Easton, is ordered by the King to take guardianship over Lady Alexandria Featherstone whose parents are presumed dead after failing to return from a high profile treasure hunt. But Alexandria ignores this royal reassignment, believing her parents are still alive and duly following clues that may lead to their whereabouts. Gabriel, pressured by what are actually the King’s ulterior motives, pursues her across windswept England and the rolling green hills of Ireland but is always one step behind.
When they do meet, the search for earthly treasure will pale in comparison to what God has planned for both of them.

A Duke’s Promise (A Forgotten Castles Novel)
I am so happy to have found Jamie Carie. Her writing is smart, emotional, and fast-paced. I love how she can create a powerful love story without a bunch of smut. I especially love the historical aspect to her work. Highly recommended!
From the Land of Fire and Ice back to England’s shores, Alexandria Featherstone finds herself the new Duchess of St. Easton. Her husband has promised a wedding trip to take them to the place where her imperiled parents were last seen — Italy and the marble caves of Carrara — but a powerful Italian duke plots against Alex and her treasure-hunting parents.
Hoping to save them, Alex and Gabriel travel to Italy by balloon. Fraught with danger on all sides and pressured by Gabriel’s affliction to the breaking point, they must learn to work and fight together. The mysterious key is within their grasp, but they have yet to recognize it. This journey will require steadfast faith in God and each other — a risk that will win them everything they want or lose them everything they have.

Drums of Change (Women of the West Book #12)
Janette Oke is by far my favorite Christian author. I liked this book because it taught me about the Native Americans and their culture. I felt touched that the missionary cared so much about Running Fawn’s tribe. When Running Fawn finally accepted the Christian faith, I wanted to jump up and cheer! This book also shows people that Jesus loves everyone: no matter what color or race you are or how different you are from others.

As the reader glimpses into each of the characters’ lives, you will be able to relate to their struggles, successes, failures, mixed with laughter, tears, romance and heartbreak. Author Debby Mayne hits the nail on the head with her accurate depiction of the dynamics of a high school class reunion. Dark Road Home (Edge of Freedom Book #2)
I’m loving this series by Elizabeth Ludwig. Heartwarming heroes and sinister villains! Her characters are so well developed you feel as if you know them personally. I’m only halfway through Dark Road Home, and I have to restrain myself from flipping ahead to see what happens next. Highly recommended.
Ana Kavanagh’s only memories of home are of fire and pain. As a girl she was the only survivor of a terrible blaze, and years later she still struggles with her anger at God for letting it happen.
At a nearby parish she meets and finds a kindred spirit in Eoghan Hamilton, who is struggling with his own anger–his sister, Cara, betrayed him by falling in love with one of his enemies. Cast aside by everyone, Eoghan longs to rejoin the Fenians, a shadowy organization pushing for change back in Ireland. But gaining their trust requires doing some favors–all of which seem to lead back to Ana. Who is she and who is searching for her? As dark secrets from Ana’s past begin to come to light, Eoghan must choose which road to follow–and where to finally place his trust.

Promises to Keep is family drama at its best. From page one, the exquisitely written characters wind their way into your heart and mind, until you become a member of the family. I revisited my girlhood with Roz and Mara, linking little fingers in “pinky promises” and shared secrets.
Mara Nightingale becomes Roz’s first friend in Mills River. In spite of their many differences, the girls discover they have something in common that binds them together–both are hiding secrets. So they make a promise–“cross my heart and hope to die”–never to tell anyone else.
When danger stalks the Anthonys, Tillie exhibits unimaginable courage and selfless love in her determination to protect the family she has adopted as her own.
