The Crucified Life: How To Live Out A Deeper Christian Experience
This IS one of the BEST books, and may be THE BEST book I have ever read on the subject of “take up YOUR cross, deny yourself…” I have only read about half of it so far.
The apostle Paul declared in his letter to the Galatians that he had been “crucified with Christ.” But what does this mean? Is this a claim every believer can and should make? The Crucified Life is a comprehensive exploration of these questions, answered with the deep, biblical thinking for which Tozer was revered. “God is ingenious in developing crosses for His followers,” Tozer was fond of saying. At the heart of the book is a call to believers to follow Christ to the Cross and be raised to new life—a call to live and thrive in the crucified life.

Living “So That”: Making Faith-Filled Choices in the Midst of a Messy Life (InScribed Collection)
Living so That, Making Faith-Filled Choices in the Midst of a Messy Life by Wendy Blight offers a book which shows its readers how to take what they learn in the Bible and apply it to everyday situations. She answers imperative questions such as “why does God allow trials?” with providing scriptural answers and experiences she has gone through.
In today’s world, it’s tough to make everyday decisions, let alone decisions that honor God. Our culture is increasingly driven by selfish desires. However, as Christians, our lives should not be self-centered and static; they should be others-centered and active, making a difference for the Kingdom of God.
Living “So That” is a fresh approach to understanding God’s Word, focusing on many of the powerful “so that” verses in Scripture, including Jesus Came So That. . .; God Spoke So That. . .; Pray So That. . .; Trials Come So That. . . . Through her approachable style, personal examples, and biblical teaching, Wendy equips readers to take what they study in the Word of God and practically live it out in order to impact the world around them. The result is a renewed appreciation for the power and applicability of Scripture. Through practical examples and biblical truths, Wendy helps readers gain a new perspective on daily living, equipping them to apply these biblical truths to present-day decision-making.
Features include:
“Going Deeper” sections encourage readers to dig further into the truths presented
“Call to Action” sections challenge readers to take practical steps to apply what they have learned

I do not often give five star reviews, in fact I mostly review books that annoy me. (Check my reviews if you have any doubts.) This is one of the few exceptions. It is excellent with regard to content, accuracy of information, and flow and structure of the book itself.

Deeply Loved: 40 Ways in 40 Days to Experience the Heart of Jesus
I love Keri Wyatt Kent’s writing style. She makes her books so accessible to “everyday, real people.” Like Keri I am a busy mom, juggling many responsibilities. And making time to connect spiritually is a challenge. This book is divided into 40 daily devotionals, each about 2 pages long. She introduces each topic with scripture, includes a story to illustrate, and ends with action steps (Presence Practice) to bring the point home.
That profound fact has been changing lives around the world for centuries. Yet, there are days when you don’t experience this completely in your own life. So, how do you get to the very core of that statement on a deep, personal level?
Keri Wyatt Kent wants to help you fully experience the heart of Jesus’ love in Deeply Loved. Using the gospel stories of Jesus, reflection, and personal stories, Kent will guide you through 40 days of how to create space in your life for Jesus to show up and love you. Deeply.

Beyond Hope’s Valley: A Big Sky Novel
What I love about this book and all Tricia’s work is the spiritual thread wolven throughout every page. I love and read Christian fiction for this reason. Not only have I grown to love the characters from this series, but I have learned and grown spiritually from them. I would recommend anyone interested in this book read the two previous ones. This is a complex story of family, friends, sacrifice, finding God, and LOVE:-)
As months pass, secrets that were hidden in winter’s frozen grasp thaw and take on a life of their own. The truths about a child, about a past relationship, and about God’s plans are being revealed. Walking through a valley of questions, Marianna must hold on to hope as she decides where and with whom her heart truly belongs.

Along Wooded Paths: A Big Sky Novel
Tricia has done it again. Another beautiful Amish novel. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I recommend you read this book. If you have not read an Amish novel before this series would be an excellent place to start. I gladly give this book a rating of 5 out of 5.
As Marianna begins helping those different from herself—and receiving their help—her heart contemplates two directions. She’s torn between the Amish man from Indiana whom she has long planned on marrying and the friendly Englischer who models a closer walk with God than she’s ever seen before.
Who should have young Marianna’s heart? What is God asking her to sacrifice? Her traditions? Her community? The answer is found along the wooded paths.
