Understanding Your Bible in 15 Minutes a Day
I am enjoying this book. Great inspiration daily. I use quotes from the book as Daily thoughts in my class!
The Bible can be overwhelming. For those unfamiliar with this huge and ancient book, it’s hard to even know where to begin. These short, digestible readings answer questions about where the Bible came from, what it’s about, and why it matters. Daryl Aaron blends the knowledge of a college professor with the friendly, welcoming tone of a pastor. Broken into forty small chapters, this book is perfect for those who want quick and clear answers to their questions.

Once Upon a Summer (Seasons of the Heart Book #1)
This was a cute series. These books are written from a boy’s point of view and that makes them very unique. I don’t know how Oke could write in a boy’s point of view so well! It was as if a boy had written the book, which is probably why this series is not overly romantic, except for the last book. It had some pretty funny parts–and that helps make a book good.

I enjoyed this book. Healthy ideas are sometimes hard to find, but this cookbook is very helpful simply for the ideas alone. The recipes were sometimes simple and sometimes a little harder. In summary, this book is a compilation of great ideas and recipes to accomplish that goal!
After the dizzying success of the three previous bestsellers, Daniel Nadav’s third cookbook is mainly for people who are crazy about desserts and, on the other hand, want to maintain a healthy and harmonious vegan diet.
Are you familliar with the claim that vegans do not have delicious desserts? Have you encountered the prejudiced belief that vegans have only dates as a dessert? In 101 healthy vegan desserts you will find:
Chapter 1: Healthy vegan cakes recipes
Chapter 2: Super easy vegan muffins recipes
Chapter 3: Amazing vegan cookies recipes
Chapter 4: Original Vegan home made ice creams recipes
˃˃˃ Three major advantages of this book:
1. An impressive collection of recipes that will help you maintaim a healthy life and boost your and your family’s energy levels.
2. Extremely easy-to-prepare vegan recipes that are full of nutritional value.

A Life in Stitches: Knitting My Way through Love, Loss, and Laughter
what I should say is “buy this book because it’s a great read” and not worry about any qualifiers, because “A Life in Stitches” is a great read. It is one of the few knitcentric books I have read that I would recommend to my fellow chrocheters without hesitation.

The Nazi Officer’s Wife: How One Jewish Woman Survived The Holocaust
This book isn’t one you read for pleasure, but is certainly an eye opener, the suffering, unfairness of war. As I read it, I kept thinking every Sophomore or Junior in high school should be required to read this, we have all forgotten the horrors of this war, we were lucky just having rationing and shortages of things here.
Edith Hahn was an outspoken young woman in Vienna when the Gestapo forced her into a ghetto and then into a labor camp. When she returned home months later, she knew she would become a hunted woman and went underground. With the help of a Christian friend, she emerged in Munich as Grete Denner. There she met Werner Vetter, a Nazi Party member who fell in love with her. Despite Edith’s protests and even her eventual confession that she was Jewish, he married her and kept her identity a secret.
In wrenching detail, Edith recalls a life of constant, almost paralyzing fear. She tells of German officials who casually questioned the lineage of her parents; of how, when giving birth to her daughter, she refused all painkillers, afraid that in an altered state of mind she might reveal something of her past; and of how, after her husband was captured by the Soviet army, she was bombed out of her house and had to hide while drunken Russian soldiers raped women on the street.
Yet despite the risk it posed to her life, Edith created a remarkable record of survival. She saved every document and set of papers issued to her, as well as photographs she managed to take inside labor camps. Now part of the permanent collection at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., these hundreds of documents, several of which are included in this volume, form the fabric of a gripping new chapter in the history of the Holocaust — complex, troubling, and ultimately triumphant.

What’s So Amazing About Grace?
Philip Yancey has almost surpassed C.S. Lewis as the most insightful Christian writer I have read. And while as a philosopher I greatly appreciate the idea-based insight that Lewis provides, Yancey’s works seem to offer more practical advice and help to answer the question: “How then should we live?”

The International Cookbook for Kids
Loved it. Kidd like it too, they are kind of messy for kids but most good food leaved behind a.messy kitchen. Great food, easy for kids to read and understand.

Oh, wow! This book kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through! I love a complicated plot that is not easily deciphered. I also liked that it was not “preachy”. It is a book I could recommend to anyone, Christian or not. Great job, Tammy! You have a gift. Can’t wait for the next book.

Lasting Impression, A (A Belmont Mansion Novel Book #1)
A Lasting Impression is a wonderful start to a new series. With writing that is rich and textured, Ms. Alexander paints a portrait of Belmont and Nashville after the Civil War that will pull you in and almost make you believe that you are living there yourself
To create something that will last is Claire Laurent’s most fervent desire as an artist. It’s also her greatest weakness. When her fraud of a father deals her an unexpected hand, Claire is forced to flee from New Orleans to Nashville, only a year after the War Between the States has ended. Claire’s path collides with that of Sutton Monroe, and she considers him a godsend for not turning her in to the authorities. But when they meet again and he refuses to come to her aid, she realizes she’s sorely misjudged the man. Trading an unwanted destiny for an unknown future, Claire finds herself in the middle of Nashville’s elite society and believes her dream of creating a lasting impression in the world of art may finally be within reach.
All that Sutton Monroe holds dear lies in ruin. He’s determined to reclaim his heritage and to make the men who murdered his father pay. But what he discovers on his quest for vengeance reveals a truth that may cost him more than he ever imagined.
Set at Nashville’s historic 1850s Belmont Mansion, a stunning antebellum manor built by Mrs. Adelicia Acklen, the richest woman in America in the 1860s, A Lasting Impression showcases the deep, poignant, unforgettable characters that set Tamera’s stories apart and provides an inspiring love story that will capture readers’ hearts and leave them eager for more.
The second book in the Belmont Mansion series, A Beauty So Rare, releases March 2014.
