Moonlight Masquerade (London Encounters Book #1): A Regency Romance
I truly enjoyed this story and found it to be a real page turner. She had me hooked right from the first chapter. Ruth has a way of making her stories feel so real – like I’m right there in the room with the hero and heroine. I kept thinking, as I was reading, ‘how does she come up with this stuff?’ It was just so real to me. Nothing about it feels forced or made up. It all flows so naturally and realistically.
Ruth Axtell deftly creates a world where black and white burst into a confusion of colors and no one is who they seem. Readers will be hooked from the very first scene to the final page.

Grace Happens Here: You Are Standing Where Grace is Happening
Max Lucado is my favorite author of Christian books. I love his simple, down-to-earth writing. There’s no complex theology, just a straightforward, inspirational message told through a bit of scripture and some illustrative anecdotes.
A wonderful message about God’s grace and how to apply it to every aspect of your life.
Max Lucado looks at grace from all directions and reveals that no matter which way you look at it, God’s grace is always there, ready to do wonders in your life. This beautiful gift book is filled with powerful quotes, Scripture, and stories that will transform your heart and mind with a deeper understanding of God’s healing grace. The message gently and eloquently encourages you to accept completely His grace and forgiveness as well as extend the same blessing toward others.
“When grace happens, generosity happens. Unsquashable, eye-popping big heartedness happens. Receiving grace today? Liberality is in the forecast for tomorrow. When you meet a bountiful person, you are standing where grace is happening.”

Take the Leap: Do What You Love 15 Minutes a Day and Create the Life of Your Dreams
Heather McCloskey Beck’s book is so wonderful. Being a creative person at heart it has inspired me to go for my dreams. Ms. Beck shares great stories from her own life and puts the whole thing together beautifully. I highly recommend this book. It is a must on my nightstand. I know I will refer back to it often.
Inspirational author and speaker, Heather McCloskey Beck, wants you to know that there’s nothing more important than figuring out what makes your heart sing and doing that–every day. We’ve been trained to think it’s not “responsible” to think this way, that there are more important things to life than feeling fulfilled. Yet we yearn for a more creative, engaged life–to feel the rush that comes from doing what we love to do, without worry.
Beck, a popular Huffington Post columnist and creator of the global peace movement, Peace Flash, offers guidance, stories, and dozens of practical suggestions for how to take the leap into the kind of life you’ve always dreamed of. If you’ve forgotten what makes you tick, Heather will help you find out. If you know what it is but aren’t doing it, she’ll help you clear a path.

Becoming Myself: Embracing God’s Dream of You
Don’t miss this book. I cannot overstate how much it ministered to me on every level. It will be encouraging for everyone, comforting to all as well, and perhaps even life-saving for some. I would actually give it six stars instead of five if it were possible.
Becoming Myself is a hope-filled book for anyone who wonders if her life will ever change—if she will ever change. In Stasi Eldredge’s most intimate book yet, she shares her own struggles with self-worth, weight, and her past as she shows readers how God is faithfully unveiling who we truly are.
Stasi urges you to lay down your past thoughts about yourself and receive God’s incredible dreams for you instead. We cannot heal ourselves. We cannot become ourselves by ourselves. But we are not by ourselves.
The King of love wants to help us become. God desires to restore us—the real us. As he heals our inner life, he calls us to rise to the occasion of our lives. The most important journey any woman can take is the journey into becoming her true self through the love of God.
It’s a beautiful paradox. The more of God’s you become, the more yourself you become—the “self” he had in mind when he thought of you before the creation of the world.
Discover your truest self—the woman God created you to be—in Becoming Myself.

The Velveteen Rabbit is heartwrenchingly beautiful. The Rabbit who yearns to be Real and whose love for the boy was unconditional is both imaginative and sad. I cannot read this book without a lump coming to my throat and being transported to simpler days when the love of a toy was the greatest thing in the whole world.
Like the Skin Horse, Margery Williams understood how toys–and people–become real through the wisdom and experience of love. This reissue of a favorite classic, with the original story and illustrations as they first appeared in 1922, will work its magic for all who read it.
From the Hardcover edition.

The Air We Breathe is a smart and engaging story with memorable characters, and leaves a lasting impression. It isn’t (in my opinion) a can’t-put-it-down book, but I enjoyed it and its steady pace. Christa Parrish delivered this story in a clever and engaging way.
Seventeen-year-old Molly Fisk does not go outside. She’s ruled by anxiety and only feels safe in the tiny tourist-town museum she and her mother run and call home. Yearning to live free but unable to overcome deep wounds from her past, she stays hidden away. Then the chance arrival of a woman Molly knew six years ago changes everything.
Six years ago, newly single Claire Rodriguez was an empty shell. Only in the unique friendship she strikes up with a young girl–a silent girl who’ll only talk to Claire–does she see the possibility of healing. But one day the girl and her mother vanish, their house abandoned. What happened that drove them away? And how can Claire now offer Molly the same chance at finding a life anew?

From a Distance (Timber Ridge Reflections)
This is truly a well written book! The characters have come to life and will forever live in my heart.
What happens when the realization of a dream isn’t what you imagined. . . and the secret you’ve spent a lifetime guarding is finally laid bare?
Determined to become one of the country’s premier newspaper photographers, Elizabeth Westbrook travels to the Colorado Territory to capture the grandeur of the mountains surrounding the remote town of Timber Ridge. She hopes, too, that the cool, dry air of Colorado, and its renowned hot springs, will cure the mysterious illness that threatens her career, and her life.
Daniel Ranslett, a former Confederate sharpshooter, is a man shackled by his past, and he’ll do anything to protect his land, and his solitude. When an outspoken Yankee photographer captures an image that appears key to solving a murder, putting herself in danger, Daniel is called upon to repay a debt. He’s a man of his word, but repaying that debt could bring secrets from his past to light.
Forced on a perilous journey together, Daniel and Elizabeth’s lives intertwine in ways neither could have imagined when first they met . . . from a distance.

The Random Acts of Cupid (Christian Romance)
I really enjoyed this book. I loved how the author’s personal experience inspired the story. It was a fun read, perfect for Valentine’s Day or really any day of the year. The story line and characters were interesting and believable. I also liked how the author interwove Seattle’s landmarks and locations. It made the story more authentic. Definitely worth the price.
Elise Hutchins has a secret. She likes to anonymously play matchmaker for people she doesn’t really know. But when lawyer Ryan Jenkins discovers she’s Seattle’s Cupid, he thinks her methods are deceptive and she shouldn’t be interfering in the lives of others. Now Elise has 24 hours to present her case and prove her character to Ryan. Otherwise, he will reveal her secret and ruin her reputation along with possibly all of the good she’s done. Will following her around on her Cupid errands change his mind about her? And, in the end, will Elise sacrifice her own chance at love to make one final match for her best friend

Heart of a Lion (Lions of Judah Book #1)
This was a great book about Noah and his family. It really put the bible to life. I loaned this book out to several friends, and they could not put the book down. One friend read the book in one day, not going to bed until 5 am! I highly recommend this book – it really made me want to study the story of Noah in depth.
In the series debut, Heart of a Lion, Noah struggles to resist the siren call of the world’s pleasures, while straining to hear the still, small voice of his father’s God. The reader is in for a roller-coaster ride of surprises as humanity’s common ancestor fights the spiritual battle of the ages.
