Shattered Rose (Winsor Series)
This book was great and exceptionally enjoyable. I’m not a reader, but I ended up staying up late every night during the week because it captured my interest. It made me look forward to bed time so I could read more.
When obsession and love blend, and darkness consumes the mind and spirit, is it even possible to recognize the light?
Set in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, nineteen-year-old Avery Nichols embarks on a journey of love, loss and recognition that perfection is often an illusion. Avery finds herself drawn to two men — one troubled, one committed to the truth. To choose between them, she must learn about unconditional love and self-worth.
It is the beginning of her sophomore year at Winsor University, and Avery is determined that nothing will stop her momentum, not even the internal battle she has fought for four years. Forced to live on campus because of her alumni scholarship, Avery is thrilled when she is placed in the coveted University Apartments and is swept away by her roommate’s cousin, Jake, whose charm and charisma touches every part of her soul and shatters every piece of her heart. Broken and lost, Avery meets Parker, a man who not only offers her hope, but also teaches her to love in ways she never thought possible.
Jake is complicated and damaged, fighting to find his way after the loss of his mother, and despite his every attempt to stop it, Avery gets behind his defenses and forces him to feel once again. He doesn’t want to love her, but can’t let her go. Parker is genuine, honest, and falls for Avery the moment he sees her. He wants nothing more than to love her, if she would only let him.

BookTestimonial
In bestselling author Stormie Omartian’s joyous tribute to the birth of Jesus, the events surrounding a baby born long ago in a stable come to life in stories the whole family will love.
Stormie gives the reader a warm and personal look at the age-old story of Christ’s birth. Each story provides an inviting glimpse of possible reactions, perceptions, and actions of the characters, and at the end of the chapter, Stormie provides a prayer for a modern-day audience that powerfully connects readers to the heart of a loving and compassionate Savior.
The result is a wondrous retelling of the miraculous story that remains as tender and powerful as it was when the angel choir first sang it to an audience of humble shepherds. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Who Do You Think You Are?: Finding Your True Identity in Christ
Finding your identity in Jesus is key to living fully for Him. I love this book and recommend it to anyone seeking a closer walk with Him.
WHAT DEFINES YOU?
WHAT IS YOUR IDENTITY?
How you answer those questions affects every aspect of your life: personal, public, and spiritual. So it’s vital to get the answer right.
Pastor and best-selling author Mark Driscoll believes false identity is at the heart of many struggles—and that you can overcome them by having your true identity in Christ. In Who Do You Think You Are?, Driscoll explores the question, “What does it mean to be ‘in Christ’?” In the process he dissects the false-identity epidemic and, more important, provides the only solution—Jesus.
“This book will give you an unshakeable, biblical understanding of who you are in Christ. When you know who you are, you’ll know what to do.”
—Craig Groeschel, Senior Pastor of LifeChurch.tv and author of Soul Detox, Clean Living in a Contaminated World
“I spent years in ministry for Christ without understanding my identity in Christ. I know now that I was not alone. When, by the grace of God, we understand who we are in Christ, everything else can crumble and we will still be standing. I highly commend this book to you.”
—Sheila Walsh, speaker and author of God Loves Broken People

Unshakeable Faith (New Hope Bible Studies for Women)
Kathy Howard’s latest, Unshakeable Faith, is one of the best Bible studies I’ve come across in years! It’s rich with insights about Peter, one of the most interesting biblical characters, because he’s so real, fallible and yet sincere in his sometimes flawed efforts to be a good disciple… like most men and women I know living in the 21st century. The author also includes stories of modern-day people she knows, brief snapshots of how their life journeys complement the lesson of the chapter. And speaking of brief — dare I say this? — the study itself, while deep and compelling, manages to be briefer than most with only 8 sessions (probably weeks?) each covering three very powerful lessons. In today’s hurry-up world, this length of study is compatible with our lifestyles, much as we hate to admit it. I SO recommend this study!

The Case for Christmas: A Journalist Investigates the Identity of the Child in the Manger
The Case for Christmas was a much easier read than The Case for Christ. It’s basically a preview to The Case for Christ without all of the overwhelming details and questions. I do wish there had been more of a focus specifically on the fact that Christ wasn’t actually born on December 25th but overall, really good reading!

Alice in Wonderland (Illustrated) (Fairy eBooks)
I love this book. I had a copy of it as a child but have since lost it. Finding it on the Kindle and being able to rediscover the wonder within these pages was fun. It is still an easy read and it is quite simple to get caught up and lost in Wonderland with Alice.

A Patchwork Christmas: Three Christmas Romances with Bonus Handcraft Patterns and Cookie Recipes
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. And the instructions for the crafts were a delightful bonus! Anyone looking for gentle Christmas stories should enjoy this anthology.

Loved the cover and the heartwarming story inside, add the Christmas season and you’ve got a great book! It can be read in one day which is good because it was hard to put down. The author took a difficult situation and worked it out beautifully, he really understood Susanna’s heart and the dilemna she was in and expressed it wonderfully.
Fans will be delighted by this peek at an Amish Christmas, complete with the romantic wish of Susanna Byler to spend the holidays with the man of her dreams. But who is the man of her dreams? Is it the competent but plain Amishman she married for convenience….or is it her first love—an Englisha man with whom she has recently had an unexpected encounter—and who wants her back in his life?
A perfect holiday delight for lovers of Amish fiction…and those who love a heartwarming and tender Christmas tale.

Both of these authors are on my auto-purchase list. I’ve read almost all of their books. And this one doesn’t disappoint. Two great Christmas stories with well-done characters and lots of heart. Well done, ladies!

A Christmas Prayer: An Autistic Child, a Father’s Love, a Woman’s Heart (Christmas Romance)
It enlightens the reader about the challenges of dealing with a autistic child. I would love to know more about this story. The characters and the storyline were very interesting. It shows that despite the challenges they were still able to find love. Would definitely recommend this book to other readers
As far as Jasper Falls knows, Ethan is in town to perform a Christmas benefit, although he longs to tell the world his current hit single, A Christmas Prayer, was inspired by a son he has yet to meet. Ethan’s intent was to rescue Gib. Instead, his presence seems to complicate the child’s life even more. Does God have a different plan for Gib no one has considered?
