For the last 20 some years i have been following Charles Swindoll’s books and writings and reflections, the “Walk With Jesus” is a good and excellent guide foe a day-to-day meditations, the book worth having….
It all began with the long awaited coming of Messiah, the person who would preside over the Jewish nation and bring peace and freedom to a people in need. What’s a Cook to Do?: An Illustrated Guide to 484 Essential Tips, Techniques, and Tricks
This is a very helpful book, full of great ideas, photographs and, as stated, 484 essential tips, etc. I think any cook or chef would find this a great addition to a kitchen library. The format is also convenient – not too big, and easy to read.
Culinary students everywhere rely on the comprehensive and authoritative cookbooks published by chef, instructor, and award-winning author Jim Peterson. And now, for the first time, this guru-to-the-professionals turns his prodigious knowledge into a practical, chockablock, quick-reference, A-to-Z answer book for the rest of us.
Look elsewhere for how to bone skate or trim out a saddle of lamb, how to sauté sweetbreads or flambé dessert. Look here instead for how to zest a lemon, make the perfect hamburger, bread a chicken breast, make (truly hot) coffee in a French press, make magic with a Microplane. It’s all here: how to season a castiron pan, bake a perfect pie, keep shells from sticking to hardcooked eggs. How to carve a turkey, roast a chicken, and chop, slice, beat, broil, braise, or boil any ingredient you’re likely to encounter. Information on seasoning, saucing, and determining doneness (by internal temperatures, timings, touch, and sight) guarantee that you’ve eaten your last bland and overcooked meal.
Here are 500 invaluable techniques with nearly as many color photographs, bundled into a handy, accessible format.

The Memory Jar (Seven Brides for Seven Bachelors)
After reading The Big Sky series, I became a fan of Tricia Goyer’s writings. I have read numerous Amish fiction books and you would think that another book would be clichéd or stale, but The Memory Jar is a beautifully written romantic tale.

Christmas in Nashville (The Nashville Series)
loved this book and the wonderful message of Christ woven through it. The story will keep you interested all the way through and the matters of the heart will make you cry and jump for joy. Bill and Betty and family make for a wonderful read and hope to read more about them in future books.
Betty’s parents had tried everything they could think of to get information about him only to find that he was released from a POW camp and sent to the USA. Where could he be? Why didn’t he come home to Oklahoma?
After receiving a letter from a private investigator in regards to the child she put up for adoption over two years ago, Betty’s life was further complicated. Her hopes were high that she might be able to mother the child she gave away only to be faced with court appearances and setbacks that stretched her faith in God to the limit.

Mistletoe Magic (Christmas Holiday Extravaganza)
What fun! This story is priceless! The doctor competing against his own online dating persona for Misty’s attentions is just quirky enough to be true! I can just imagine him getting tangled up in his own web of mistruths.
It’s love at first sight for Tyler Davenport, but before he can finish his first root canal, Misty is involved in an exclusive online romance with Wes99—Tyler’s online persona. How can he tell her he’s the man she’s been waiting to meet, and how rational is it for him to be jealous of Wes99! Soon Tyler’s pulling out all the stops to woo Misty.
As Christmas approaches, Wes99 and Tyler both ask her to meet them under the mistletoe. Which man will she choose?
This title is part of the Christmas Holiday Extravaganza, specially priced through December 2013.
