This book was so great I read it nonstop- it’s about God’s healing power. But especially, it teaches patience and how we need to wait for God’s timing in every aspect of life. If you really love someone, cherish every minute together. Grow in love, friendship, and honor relationships.
They determine how we live, who we are, and what we want. Some choices are made for us.
Others we must make for ourselves.
Charlie Lexington is a living consequence of both. Everything about the feisty redhead represents a second chance—even her name. Though she was rescued at the age of five, her past is a lingering reminder of what she longs for most.
And the one thing she has spent a lifetime trying to find.
After a series of less-than-stellar choices, her Performing Arts Scholarship now hangs by a thread. Her sudden suspension has not only resulted in her father’s disappointment, but in the loss of her freedom as well.
She is forced to face the music: four weeks house arrest.
Briggs is the carefree, charming, yet all-too-mouthy fireman who is asked to keep an eye on the pretty little spitfire. He quickly learns, however, that his first assessment of her was off—she’s tougher than she looks. When her stubborn resolve pushes his sanity and intercepts his heart, his loyalties are put to the test.
Sometimes the hardest choice we make, is the one we must make for love…
** This is the second book in the Letting Go series, but it can be read as a standalone book **

Let Them Eat Cake: A Novel (French Twist)
Price: FREE
Smart and sassy, Let Them Eat Cake is an enjoyable story about a woman who can’t get anything right until she gets right with God. Good Chick-Lit that will keep the reader smiling. And the recipes are good too.
Lexi Stuart is at a critical crossroads. She’s done with college but still living at home, ready to launch a career but unable to find a job, and solidly stalled between boyfriends.
When a lighthearted conversation in French with the manager of her favorite bakery turns into a job offer, Lexi accepts. But the actual glamour is minimal: the pay is less than generous, her co-workers are skeptical, her bank account remains vertically-challenged, and her parents are perpetually disappointed. Her only comfort comes from the flirtatious baker she has her eye–but even may not be who he seems to be!
So when a handsome young executive dashes into the bakery to pick up his high profile company’s special order for an important meeting–an order Lexi has flubbed–she loses her compulsion to please. Something inside Lexi clicks. Laissez la révolution commencer! Let the revolution begin!
Instead of trying to fulfill everyone else’s expectations for her life, Lexi embarks on an adventure in trusting herself and God with her future–très bon!
This book is written with a distinctively, organically, Christian world view.

No Shadow (Prodigal Sons of Cane)

Another great story by S.N.Clemens. she writes with Christian heart but foes not ‘get in your face’. It’s honest, sincere and exciting. Just hope she writes as fast as we read. 😉
Andrew has returned to the small town he grew up in, but he’s only planning to stay a short time. He’s set on purchasing a manuscript for his grandmother, and he won’t let any baffling and (irresistibly) infuriating librarians like Helen get in his way.
He left his hometown and his faith a long time ago, but now they’re both drawing him back. But opening up his heart–to God and to Helen–means taking a risk he hasn’t taken in years.

There were so many reasons I enjoyed this book, but the top two have to be the believable characters and the humor. I laughed out loud more than once 😀 Also teared up–signs of a good book for me! Well written, easy and enjoyable read, hard to put down. I appreciated the Christian themes (forgiveness, growth) and the clean romance. Waiting for the next from this author!

I like Serena Miller’s writing enough to make me want to read anything else she writes from now on whether it’s Amish fiction or not. She has a writing style that agrees with and appeals to me on so many levels.
Levi Troyer finds his pacifist beliefs challenged when he discovers his stepfather has been killed and his mother wounded by an unknown intruder. Levi and Grace are thrown together when she comes to his family’s rescue and saves his mother’s life. A deep attraction develops—even though a relationship between them is strictly forbidden.
Levi belongs to the most conservative and isolated of all Amish sects—the Swartzentruber Amish. Even before meeting Grace, Levi had begun to question some of their teachings. He has considered leaving, but knows he will be banned forever from contact with his younger siblings and widowed mother—who need him to survive. He is torn between his love for Grace and his responsibility to his family.
Grace considers leaving her beloved farm and reenlisting rather than continuing to live near the man she loves but cannot have. Levi must confront the Bann if he pursues Grace. And a murderer must be caught. When lifelong allegiances are tested, can love and justice prevail?
