Gentleman of Her Dreams (A Ladies of Distinction novella)
Price: FREE
“Gentleman of Her Dreams” was meant to hook us into Jen Turano’s debut novel releasing this fall, and it did its job! Rarely have I laughed so much at the antics of two characters, or fallen in love with them so quickly. Turano has a distinct, quirky voice, and this short taste of her style left me wanting more. The biggest problem is waiting until November to read “A Change of Fortune!” Highly recommended.

Chop, Chop (Chop, Chop Series – Book 1)

I loved this book. I will say it again. I loved this book. I was moved to tears more than once during the reading of this book. It is not often that I find a Christian book that has so much depth. This book deals with love, faith, death, forgiveness, and the pains of going from childhood to adulthood.
Synopsis: Ever since Laci was a little girl she’s been growing out her pretty, brown hair and chopping it off to send to Locks of Love. When Greg moves into town and finds out what she’s doing, he thinks it’s a great idea…so he starts doing it too! It’s just one of the things that reserved, young David must tolerate as their friendship grows throughout the years. As they near adulthood, they grow not only closer to each other, but closer to God as well. David finds himself content in every way, but when tragedy occurs David must struggle to find his way back to God.

Debut author Elizabeth Camden BLEW ME AWAY with this fantastic new historical novel set in the gilded age of America. I was blown away at how Camden seemed to merge Regency with American 1879 history and bring them together in a complimentary fashion that was reminiscent of Julie Klassen meets Deeanne Gist.

Justified Means (Book One) (The Agency Files)
I think this *might* be my favorite Chautona book, although it is hard to say. I couldn’t put it down! I had to know what happened next. It was excellent!
Whatever it takes: the motto of “The Agency.” It doesn’t exist–not legally speaking. However its effect in the lives of those who benefit from their aid is incalculable. Lives saved, restored, guarded–protected from the side of life most never see. Their clients are usually wealthy, important–desperate. Their other clients–well, they don’t always appreciate the efforts expended on their behalf–not until they aren’t lying on a slab in the morgue.
Justified Means~
Erika Polowski, in grave danger–danger she has no idea exists–finds herself captive, shackled, bound, gagged. Her captors have the most unbelievable story, yet as the enemy manages, time after time, to get too close, she has to decide who or what to trust. Can she believe the man who daily holds her at gunpoint? Does she trust her gut? She is certain that she knows nothing that could possibly matter to anyone–has done nothing that should put her in danger.
For Keith Auger, it’s just another assignment. Extract the client, protect the client, return the client to her life with minimal interruption. Except that this “client” isn’t so keen on being protected. His usual cheerful demeanor disappeared the night he helped her escape from her home–escape with the aid of duct tape, rope, and the dark of night.
His faith seems incongruous with his job. Her feisty personality might just keep her alive–if he can’t. How long can they stay one step ahead of their pursuers? How long can he protect her when every move they make seems only half a step behind those who want Erika dead. Why can’t they get a break?
The only answer is the one thing that he fears most. Is there a mole within The Agency?
