This novel is about how the chance for redemption is offered to this man and the path he takes to try and find it. It isn’t easy, he isn’t always likeable, and he fails and frustrates along the way. If you’ve ever lived with and loved a person who is dealing with addictions, you will recognize them in Truman. You will get inside his head and hear the excuses he makes and the fear and self doubt that got him there. And slowly, you will see him change.
With mounting hospital bills and Truman’s penchant for gambling his savings, the situation seems hopeless . . . until his estranged wife throws him a lifeline—the chance to write the story of a death row inmate, a man convicted of murder who wants to donate his heart to Truman’s son.
As the execution clock ticks down, Truman uncovers disturbing evidence that points to a different killer. For his son to live, must an innocent man die? Truman’s investigation draws him down a path that will change his life, his family, and the destinies of two men forever.

Past Suspicion (Christian Romantic Suspense)

Therese masterfully develops the characters so that the reader truly feels involved in the story and has an interest in Robin’s personal outcome. Though I usually prefer to read nonfiction, I was drawn to pick up Therese’s book again and again as the characters were believable and their issues were things for which I felt I could relate. This book would make a great summer read for teens and adults! I know you will enjoy it!
“Past Suspicion is a page-turner, and Heckenkamp is an author to be reckoned with.” — Nancy Mehl, best-selling Christian author

Sometimes we’re blinded by attraction, but when that quickly fades, what is left? I think that’s what I enjoyed most about this book. It showed that to have a healthy romantic relationship, there needs to be that give and take to grow. It’s about friendship, sticking together through the good and bad — with Christ at the center. I loved the unique setting, the characters, and the ease of reading of this story.
From the hearth of a Scottish castle, to expansive Australia, to the busy streets of London, Hannah Parker will find out if she is up to the task of catching her very own Prince Charming.

This book grabbed me in the first chapter and I had a hard time putting the book down to do anything else. This was the first time I had read a book from this author and I have already ordered another book to read that she has wrote.

Prairie (Journey of Dreams: Book One)
Price: 99 cents
This was a terrific, thought provoking book. If we lived in a world where people loved and took care of each other like they do in this book, we’d be in a much better place. The way they gave of themselves was such a good representation of the believers in Acts.
The Journey of Dreams series is Contemporary Christian Fantasy, exploring the delights of our hearts and how the Lord meets them.

In my dreams, I had always imagined wandering through meadows of golden, calf-high grasses that swayed in a gentle breeze. The dream recurred often—one I’d loved since my childhood. Sitting on the fire escape of our fourth-floor apartment in Pittsburgh, I’d escape into the woods of Wisconsin, the prairies of Kansas, and eventually the little town of De Smet, South Dakota, as I lived and breathed the adventures of Laura Ingalls. However, of all those places, the Kansas prairie somehow infused itself into my soul. I dreamt of the swoosh of the grasses, the musical sound of the cottonwoods when their leaves rustled in summer winds, and clear skies with only small tufts of clouds to mar their azure perfection…Some things we read in books, whether prose or poetry, and think we understand. However, until you’ve stood in a sea of grasses undulating like the waves of the ocean in the morning breeze, you cannot possibly begin to understand what the phrase, “sea of grass” means. As I stood, watching the rise and fall of the blades dancing in unison to a tune inaudible to me, a rush of contentment washed over me. In this vast sea of nothingness, I knew I had come home.

Jessa Davidson enjoyed a lifelong fascination and desire for life on the prairie. However, she never expected that fascination to become reality. A far cry from her apartment in Pittsburgh, the world of Prairie is more than just a change in geography–it’s a change of life. In Prairie, Jessa examines the innermost parts of her soul and discovers desires she never knew she had.
From the moment she awoke, transported from the cold Pennsylvania winter, on the sunbathed summer prairie, she knew her life would never be the same.
The people of Prairie welcomed her and accepted her–almost without question, but so much of her life changed in that moment–her hopes, dreams, values, and the absolutes of things like time–that she feared accepting her new life as reality.
Is Prairie the dreams of her life come true–or her worst nightmare> Is it real? Is it permanent? Or will she awake to discover that she’s lost her mind–or worse, her life?
And the biggest question on Jessa’s heart? Does she care?
