Virginia Bloom (Virginia Home)

I’m not sure why but I didn’t have high hopes for this book. I’ve gotten quite accustomed these days to poorly written and not edited kindle books by newer authors. I was very pleasantly surprised. The author does a nice job of describing the characters. There were no noticeable typos. I loved the quirky grandmother in the story and the sense of humor displayed throughout. The romance is sweet, pure and realistically portrayed. You will see from my other reviews that I’m not just being nice in my rating. I give more than my fair share of negative reviews. I feel confident that if you are in the mood for a sweet Christian romance this book will hit the spot.
Rachel returns to her Virginia hometown to help her family deal with the sudden marriage of her eccentric grandmother, but, instead of solving her family’s problems, she discovers she has a problem of her own.
Rachel is torn between two men. One is a handsome stranger who seems like the hero from her daydreams. And the other is Mason–her best friend.
She has never considered Mason a potential husband, but his behavior towards her keeps changing, making her feel things she’s never expected. She’s always thought she knew God’s will for her life, and Mason has never been it. But maybe she’s been wrong . . . about everything.
Virginia Bloom is a Christian love story combining romance, humor, and hope.

Karen Baney’s writing continues to just get better and better with each book and I am thoroughly impressed and in love with her latest release “A Life Restored”. I thought the last book was by far my favorite of hers, but I have to say that she outdid herself with A Life Restored because it has now become my new favorite!! What an amazing story!!

Promise of Morning, The (At Home in Beldon Grove Book #2)
Price: $1.99
highly recommend this novel. I enjoyed Ann Shorey’s first novel, The Edge of Light very much and was looking forward to The Promise of Morning. While reading this, I was blown away. It kept me on the edge of my seat with characters I cared about who were going through a period of tragedy in their lives. I was amazed at how much I could relate to Matthew and Ellie and their pain. This is not a prairie romance. It’s a deep look at people in the past and their struggle to serve and God and make sense of their world.
