Sweet, Sweet, Sweet Barefeet! A Joyful Rap

This book is set to an adorable rhyming rhythm that will please your child. Warning though parents and grandparents: They become quite addicted to having you read it out loud. You may be asked to do so repeatedly. My advice would be to alternate between adults so no one loses their voice.
What is there not to love about this story? The characters are so cute, the story tells a tale while making the child audience (okay, okay, and the adults) laugh and the illustrations are top notch as you find in all of the Grammy’s Gang books. I have no doubt that any child would enjoy this story. Check it out, it would make a great gift, or a great anytime book.

Jacob the Dragon Catcher (beautifully illustrated children’s book teaching forgiveness and kindness)

Jacob The Dragon Catcher reminds me of Robin Hood of Sherwood forest. Loved the scrolled messages with rhyme that perfectly coordinated with the creative and colorful illustrations. Great positive message of the importance of saying your sorry and to not judge others too quickly.
Written in rhyme, against a backdrop of beautiful, watercolor illustrations, this book tells the heartwarming story of a boy who lets his conscience guide him to a kinder, gentler way of being.

A bee is bullying the animals around him when they get in his way. But when a little boy catches the bee in a jar, the angry little bee has time to think about what he has done.
Why I liked this book – Bullying is a very important subject. My school has a whole anti-bullying program. I think this is a good book to talk about bullying to younger kids. I have to admit I loved the book right away because the illustrations are awesome. When I read the words I thought the story and the rhyme it is told in really helped talk about a tough subject (bullying). I like how the bee had to think about how he was treating the other animals and realized he was wrong. This would be a good book for pre-schoolers too.
