Through the Milky Way on a PB&J
Price: FREE
I enjoyed the journey Sami and Thomas took through the solar system. Illustrations of planets and space were vivid and impressive. I liked the fact that the poetry was written in a way that was informative about the planets, such that children and young readers reading the book would be gaining an appreciation for poetry and learning a bit of science without knowing it.
School’s out for the summer and Sami and Thomas have big plans.
They’ve built a spaceship in their tree house and are going to blast
off for a tour of the solar system, but one of the planets holds a
special surprise.
Vibrant images and flowing verse bring this imaginative story to life.
Space lovers and adventurers of all ages are sure to love this cosmic
journey.

What a great book for girls! The subject is about a princess that takes ballet class, but the overall lesson is about how not to be afraid to face your fears. The Miller and His Mule: An Illustrated Fable for Children in Metered Rhyme
Price: FREE
I was given an advance copy by the author and fell in love with the story. It’s a great read for young children. I think it’s a good book with good illustration work. Great job Pastor Jon.
The story of the miller, his son, and the donkey is a fable that has been told in a variety of ways through different venues for a number of years. It has been included in Aesop’s Fables and has found a home in literature in the Near East, the Middle East and Europe, dating back to medieval times.
Jon J. Cardwell presents his mirthful rendition of this beloved story in metered rhyme, telling the tale of a miller that must sell his mule when his farm has fallen on hard times. The miller, his son, and their mule set out for the fair to sell their mule at market, and on the way, they encounter people that offer advice on how they should travel.
A tale told in rhyme, the story may be easily grasped and understood by young children; and delivered in common meter, the story may also be sung to several familiar tunes, such as “Amazing Grace,” “Joy to the World,” or “Am I a Soldier of the Cross.”
