And being a man who was born and raised in Pennsylvania, I might live in New York now, but I’m sticking with my people! C.J. Darlington is definitely one of my people. And she’s done more to earn my respect with just two books than some authors do in a lifetime. Way to go!!

Miralee Ferrell is an amazing writer. This is the first book I have read by her and I am so glad I read it. It left me smiling at old memories and gave me hope for making new ones. I can’t wait for the next two books in this series. If you haven’t read Blowing On Dandelions I suggest you give it a try. It’s more than worth it and look at that cover! Isn’t it amazing?

Angels Watching Over Me (Shenandoah Sisters Book #1)

I highly recommend this heartwarming historical novel about two girls from very different backgrounds who, after suffering a common tragedy, come together to help each other out, eventually becoming the best of friends. Although labeled as an adult book, I think this novel would have the most appeal to teenagers, because of the young characters. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series and finding out what happens to Mayme and Katie next.

However it is quite thought provoking as this college professor leaves his quiet life behind to traverse the world to find the bones of Elisha. The trip is financed by a man who has a limitless amount of money, but not a limitless amount of time because he is dying. His willingness to finance this college professor’s search means many Indiana Jones type adventures around the world. However, Hoesel does a great job of keeping this realistic and not hokey sounding at all.
