A wonderful read from beginning to end! Tracy Hoffmann did an amazing job showing the reality of trafficking without being too graphic, yet still not watering it down, as it is a very real and very heartbreaking plight of so many in our world. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, especially those who are not familiar with human trafficking. Great book!
Snatched from her world on the streets of Mumbai young Shanti
now faces unspeakable horrors. Her short life had always been one
of hardship but she’d always felt protected and loved by ten-year-old
Ashok, her only family. Where was Ashok now? Would he come for
her? Why was this happening?
Eli and Ashok are determined to rescue their sisters from the dark world
of human trafficking. Will their courage and love be enough to bring
them home or will they find more than what they were looking for?
Valley of Chaya, a story that rasps every emotion and certain to stir
every readers heart.

This book starts with an intensity that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
A short read, (I read it in one evening) this is a sweet Christian story that reminds us that you never know where you’ll meet your next best friend or your lifelong partner! I love the prayers in this book and the way the characters trust God despite their situations!
I just bought a second book by the author! Hoping it’s just as good!
After a few moments of their drive, however, Sadie goes into labor and has her baby right there in the back of his cab. When Sadie is carted off to the hospital without Jed ever catching her name, he figures that is the end of their story, but he simply can’t let go.
Once they re-connect, their feelings begin to grow but then, the baby’s father enters the picture. Can they overcome past secrets and find the love that God meant for them to have with one another?

Though I have just recently been introduced to Katie Crabapple and her works.
I highly recommend “Mail order Millie” and look forward to many more books form her.
From the very beginning the author allows her readers the opportunity to relate with Millie and the hardships she has faced living in an orphanage and not being sure of what life held for her once she turned eighteen.
I loved how Millie was shown in a loving manner that even a simple bend of the truth is in fact going against God’s word.
This book grabbed a hold of me from the very beginning. Anxiously waiting the turn of the page. I found it difficult to put down until I had finished its entirety.

The real proof of the excellence of this book comes at the end. When the story ended and I read the note about how and when Jane had died, I had tears streaming down my face. After having gotten to know her “in her own words” (so to speak, since the book was written in first-person narrative), I was just struck with sadness to think that she is really gone. I mean, OF COURSE we all know that Jane Austen died. But “Just Jane” made her life seem so much more REAL than the little blurbs about her that we can always read in the fronts of her few published novels. It was like reading “The Diary of Anne Frank,” quite honestly. Like Anne, Jane had become a friend; it’s terrible when a friend dies.

I enjoyed this book very much. What woman doesn’t want to be a wedding planner? Plans don’t always go the way We plan but God’s plans are best! It was nice to be reminded of this in this delightful story.

Journey of Hope: A Novel of Triumph and Heartbreak on the Oregon Trail in 1852
Price: $2.99
I love books about the Oregon trail. Mainly because my family too came west from Iowa to Oregon in the 1800’s. Murata had good insight into the trail and her research was great. I was with her each step of the way and knew the places she described from family stories in my possession. highly recommend this book.
