Virginia Bloom (Virginia Home)
Price: FREE
I was very pleasantly surprised. The author does a nice job of describing the characters. There were no noticeable typos. I loved the quirky grandmother in the story and the sense of humor displayed throughout. The romance is sweet, pure and realistically portrayed. You will see from my other reviews that I’m not just being nice in my rating. I give more than my fair share of negative reviews. I feel confident that if you are in the mood for a sweet Christian romance this book will hit the spot.
Rachel returns to her Virginia hometown to help her family deal with the sudden marriage of her eccentric grandmother, but, instead of solving her family’s problems, she discovers she has a problem of her own.
Rachel is torn between two men. One is a handsome stranger who seems like the hero from her daydreams. And the other is Mason–her best friend.
She has never considered Mason a potential husband, but his behavior towards her keeps changing, making her feel things she’s never expected. She’s always thought she knew God’s will for her life, and Mason has never been it. But maybe she’s been wrong . . . about everything.
Virginia Bloom is a Christian love story combining romance, humor, and hope.

A Bride for Pastor Dan (Parkside Community Church)
Price: FREE
I didn’t realize this was a short story when I got it. It is really short! However I liked it a lot. I do know people who have fallen in love at first sight and their marriage lasted for years. Personally I think it could have been developed into a bit longer story. Hopefully we will get more or Dan and Anna in the future.
This short story is meant as an introduction to the Parkside Community Church series. The main characters from this story continue through all five books as secondary characters and their characters are expanded on throughout the series. If you don’t enjoy short stories, this book may not be what you’re looking for.

Fields of Corn (The Amish of Lancaster: An Amish Christian Romance (Book 1)
Price: 99 cents (Kindle), $1.99 (Nook)
This is an excellent story of the combination of Amish & English life, following the romance & life of two lovers who marry & learn about one another’s lives, beliefs, etc. I enjoyed it very much & would like to read more by this author.
In Fields of Corn, Shana Slater, a non-Amish woman from out of state, doesn’t realize that her life is about to change when she pulls into the Lapp farm in Leola, Pennsylvania, to inquire about renting a small apartment over a mule shed. Yet, the price is right and the rolling fields of corn present a peaceful place for her to retreat when she is not working in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Her curiosity about the Amish way of life is piqued when she befriends Emanuel Lapp, the son of her landlord. As she learns about the Amish through his eyes, she quickly realizes that the Amish way of life is more than just religion and a plain way of living. She also discovers that the more she learns, the more she is unexpectedly falling for much more than their plain and simple lifestyle. When two worlds collide, which will survive and at what cost?
Based in part on the author’s experience living on an Amish farm, Fields of Corn presents a sweet and authentic love story.

The Sweetgrass Bride (Chance Creek Brides Book 2)
Price: 99 cents
Just finished reading “The Sweetgrass Bride”, I liked it…..a lot. Personally I liked how the author gave time to all of the characters in her story. We got to meet Charlie, Uncle Wally, Mrs. Hamilton & Violet & learn a bit about them all, not just the main characters. So many times you read a story of this length & the author tries to cram too much in the story & the flow of the telling gets lost. But with this story as Ms. Briggs has done here, & with her other stories, she has shown a talent for keeping the story on track & flowing as it should. I wish it was longer but then I wish that with any good book that I read, I just don’t want to see it end. Truth be told, the length is just right for an evening of reading. I know “The Sweetgrass Bride” just came out, but that doesn’t stop me from anxiously awaiting her next book.
Seth Murphy has his heart set on Violet Summers, the beautiful, spoiled daughter of the local banker. When a careless accident forces him to work for Frankie’s uncle, his first meeting with his employer’s stubborn niece barely catches his attention, much less his heart. But working with Frankie side by side everyday, a friendship begins to bloom. Or is it more than that?
Can Frankie come to terms with her past and allow herself to be honest with the man she loves? Will Seth unlock his heart to God’s will for his life?

Spring Hope (Seasons of the Heart)
Price: $1.99
Being a huge fan of western romances, I am always thrilled when I receive a request to review a book in that genre. Today was no exception. I received Spring Hope by Martha Rogers compliments of Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for my honest review and think this one was exceptional. This is book 4, in the Seasons of The Heart series and what’s perfect is being able to read this one as a stand alone. I hadn’t had the delight to read the previous three but now, I know I will be going back to pick those up as well based on Martha’s ability to create a character readers can relate to.
Libby Cantrell’s life has gone from bad to worse since her mother’s death. After working in a brothel to support her abusive father, she sees no hope for her future until one cold winter night when she finds the courage to escape.
When she collapses in Portersfield, Texas, exhausted, ill, and hungry, Sheriff Cory Muldoon finds her and takes her to the doctor. Against Cory’s better judgment, Seth and Erin Winston take her in and offer her a job as a nanny for their young son. As a minister, Seth sees it as his duty to take care of her. As a deputy, Cory needs to know the truth about her even as he is attracted to the waif of a young woman.
As Cory’s feelings for her grow and winter becomes spring, will he be able to accept her as she is now and truly forget and forgive her sordid past?
