Being adopted before I was a year old, I have a similar story. Mine went a bit further to the point that 3/4 of a year ago I not only felt like I wanted to commit suicide, but If it wasn’t for God stepping in a millisecond before I tried to commit suicide, I would be in he’ll no doubt right now.
October Baby not only is something I can grasp onto knowing I’m not alone, but the messages found inside encourage me to look to my future,
“I’m alive for a reason.”
The book itself is written so amazingly, and the story is ‘moving’ at a comfortable pace for me, unlike other books that go to slow, or to fast.
My emotions were most definitely matched at times or even more extreme than Hannah’s was. At certain times If I was in that situation, which is probable, I definitely would of lashed out to her parents, and pull the ‘I’m-not-a-minor-anymore’ stunt.
I most definitely recommend this book to ALL adopted teens or even adults out there!
Bewildered, angry, and confused, Hannah turns for support to her oldest friend, Jason. Encouraged by his adventurous spirit, she joins his friends on a road trip, embarking on a journey to discover her hidden past and find hope for the unknown future.
Along the way, Hannah finds that every life is beautiful, and that life can be so much more than what we might have planned.

Queen of the Waves (An American Tapestry)
Price: $.99
I thought a love story aboard the Titanic would be a disaster, only because of my dislike for the Titanic movie, but author Janice Thompson has a way with descriptions and dialogue that made Queens of Waves a delight to read. The characters are well-developed and likeable. The romance between Tessa and Nathan is more believable than the one between Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater (played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in 1997’s Titanic). And unlike the movie, Queen of Wave’s ending isn’t predictable. Overall, I enjoyed reading the book and it has definitely sparked by re-interest in the Titanic legacy.

Rebecca’s Rose (Forever After in Apple Lake)
Price: $1.99
Oh My Oh My what can I say about Rebecca’s Rose, it was better then Kate’s Song and I loved that book. Author Jennifer Beckstand is now on the top of my favorite Amish authors list. She can write like no other. I was so wrapped up in this book I had no idea what was going on in the world around me. I laughed, I cried, and I was one very happy women that it all ended so well. I LOVE Rebecca and Levi, this is a book I will reread many times. 5 stars is not enough I give it 10 stars. I must warn you, you will NOT put it down until the last page. I need Jennifer to hurry up and write the next book 2013 is way to long to wait!
