Bedtime Can Be Fun! A Rhyming Picture Book for Kids Who’d Rather Stay Up

Steve Hodge

Price: FREE

Perfect for my 5 year old son. He read it by himself and now he wants me to read it for him tonight.

Michael

This is a follow-up to the author’s #1 Best Seller, “Bath Time Can Be Fun!”

Every child will enjoy “Bedtime Can Be Fun” whether they like going to bed or not. Using brightly-colored drawings and fun rhymes, this book demonstrates how going to bed can be an enjoyable experience by suggesting a variety of exciting adventures children might have when they dream.

Some of the potential dreams your child will be encouraged to imagine him- or herself in are, “You can dig dinosaur bones near a lake filled with smiles, fly a rocket to Neptune, that’s about a zillion miles! Climb a tall mountain and touch a big cloud, tickle a turtle until it laughs out loud! Fly a red and blue airplane high up in the sky, ride on the back of a rhino, well at least you can try!”

At about twenty pages, this book is long enough to engage your child’s imagination and encourage him or her to be enthusiastic about bedtime but not so long that they will become bored while you share the book together.

Sharks: Amazing Pictures & Fun Facts on Animals in Nature (Our Amazing World Series)

Kay de Silva

Price: FREE

I thought this was a good book full of essential knowledge about sharks that a younger audience may not know. Most of the photos were pretty good and I think these book could keep a child entertained for a nice little while. I liked that the author included a variety of information on each species they listed and felt this book was a good learning tool. Teachers might be interested in this book for elementary to early intermediate students. In the way of entertainment, this book has a variety of things a parent/teacher would appreciate. The text is easy enough for a young reader and is large enough for a child as well. There are quite a few pictures that show sharks in their natural environments and this might promt discussions about marine life and ecosystems. I would definitely recommend this book!

Ionia Martin

Bestselling children’s author Kay de Silva presents “Sharks”. The book uses captivating illustrations and carefully chosen words to teach children about “the fierce warrior of the sea”.

This series is known as one of the most beautiful on the kindle. The pictures look great even in black and white and are excellent on the full color kindle. The description in the large text beneath is simple enough for early readers or for a parent to guide a child through.

There are also picture captions that provide more information to talk about with your child. Alternatively, a child of any age (even the child in you) can just look at the images and appreciate its beauty.

This book depicts the wonder of the world of Sharks in all its glory. Children are given a well-rounded understanding of this beautiful fish: its anatomy, feeding habits and behavior. The following Sharks are featured:
* The swift Black Tip Reef Shark
* The dangerous Bull Shark
* The resourceful Hammerhead Shark
* The feared Great White Shark
* The stealthy Lemon Shark
* The fanged Nurse Shark
* The gentle Whale Shark
* The deceptive Wobbegong

I enjoyed compiling this book. I even learned a few things along the way. Perhaps you will too.
