What a humble man! I have been a huge Reagan fan. The book is a great insight to a wonderfully, warm, loving and humble man that puts God, his wife, his country and his family before himself. His daily thoughts and take on things is refreshing and a far cry from what we have seen in recent years. President Reagan makes me proud to be an American with his words and patriotism. This book is a great insight into the mind of a great President. The book is an easy read and a great history lesson. I love the way his mind works. He had a very smart but yet simple way of looking at life and situations. He had a great deal of compassion and respect for the sick, the disabled and even for those who wronged him. Recommended read. I have loved every page.

First Ladies: From Martha Washington to Michelle Obama
Price: $1.99
This was a fascinating look at America’s First Ladies. I have a better understanding of the cultural and social pressures that these women faced, as well as a deeper respect and appreciation for the mark each woman left on American history and society in her own unique way.
Covering all forty-one women from Martha Washington to Michelle Obama and including the daughters, daughters-in-law, and sisters of presidents who sometimes served as First Ladies, Caroli explores each woman’s background, marriage, and accomplishments and failures in office. This remarkably diverse lot included Abigail Adams, whose “remember the ladies” became a twentieth-century feminist refrain; Jane Pierce, who prayed her husband would lose the election; Helen Taft, who insisted on living in the White House, although her husband would have preferred a judgeship; Eleanor Roosevelt, who epitomized the politically involved First Lady; and Pat Nixon, who perfected what some have called “the robot image.” They ranged in age from early 20s to late 60s; some received superb educations for their time, while others had little or no schooling. Including the courageous and adventurous, the emotionally unstable, the ambitious, and the reserved, these women often did not fit the traditional expectations of a presidential helpmate.
Here then is an engaging portrait of how each First Lady changed the role and how the role changed in response to American culture. These women left remarkably complete records, and their stories offer us a window through which to view not only this particular sorority of women, but also American women in general.

Survival 101: The Essential Guide to Saving Your Own Life in a Disaster
Price: FREE
If you are looking for a guide to give you a quick start on getting set for a disaster heading your way, this book is a good starting point. As the book states, you need to have a general preparation guide. You might be prepared for an earthquake, but then if society collapses, you will still be in trouble. You need to be prepared for other circumstances.
Knowing what to do in the event of an emergency will keep you and everyone else calm. Panic is dangerous and counterproductive. You must be organized, take an appropriate leadership role, and make sure everyone has duties assigned to them.
This book won’t turn you into an overnight soldier of fortune, but you’ll definitely find some extremely useful tidbits on starting a fire, surviving on limited water rations, building a basic stockpile of supplies, dealing with medical issues in a crisis situation and much more!
