Here We Come (Aggie's Inheritance)

Here We Come (Aggie’s Inheritance)

Chautona Havig

Price: FREE

I know this is supposed to be the last book in the series, but I’m not ready to see it end! This was just as great as the first two, and it was so neat to see the “little” family all come together. Chautona once again weaved a realistic, fun and interesting story about people you’d think lived on your street. Looking forward to many more books from this author!

J. Gigowski

In the hubbub of wedding preparations, Christmas celebrations, and a house full of lively children, Aggie is feeling overwhelmed and unappreciated. Add to that two puppies who are growing faster than she can replace chewed shoes and fix dug fences, it seems like things just can’t get any worse. Then, as she should be enjoying the most exciting time of her life, she’s faced with her worst nightmare.

The First Gardener

The First Gardener

Denise Hildreth Jones

Price: FREE

First Gardener, although it is heart-wrenching, is a book I will recommend to all! Truly, it is a must read along with must have Kleenex! You just may find yourself so involved with these characters and be inspired by them as well!

Loren M. Mcghee

Jeremiah Williams has been tending the gardens of the Tennessee governor’s mansion for over twenty-five years. And like most first families who have come and gone, this one has stolen his heart.

Mackenzie and her husband, Governor Gray London, have struggled for ten years to have a child and are now enjoying a sweet season of life – anticipating the coming reelection and sending their precious daughter, Maddie, off to kindergarten – when a tragedy tears their world apart. As the entire state mourns, Mackenzie falls into a grief that threatens to swallow her whole.

Though his heart is also broken, Jeremiah realizes that his gift of gardening is about far more than pulling weeds and planting flowers. It’s about tending hearts as well. As he uses the tools that have been placed in his hands, he gently begins to cultivate the hard soil of Mackenzie’s heart, hoping to help her realize what it took him years to discover.

A Southern tale of loss, love, and living, The First Gardner reminds us that all of life is a gift, but our heart is the most valuable gift of all.

Faith, Hope & Love

Faith, Hope & Love

Kimberly Rae Jordan

Price: FREE

Wonderful story about a missionary family’s trials and tribulations. Quinn, captive for six years, returns to his wife and a daughter who was born while he was in captivity. The challenges this family face as Quinn questions his faith in God and Cassie struggles to revive a relationship are well portrayed in this story. It was hard to put down and I found myself pulled into the story. I appreciated the author’s sharing the difficulties of faith in the midst of trials. I highly recommend this book.

Heather Marsten

Six years after Colombian rebels took her missionary husband hostage, Cassie MacIntyre gets word that Quinn has been released and is on his way home. While initially excited to have her husband back, it isn’t long before joy turns to heartache as Cassie realizes that his time in captivity have robbed Quinn of his faith in God and apparently, his love for her. The man who has come back to her is a stranger. Cassie struggles to keep alive the hope that there is a future for their marriage, their family and the love they once shared.

Roanoke (The Keepers of the Ring)

Roanoke (The Keepers of the Ring)

Angela Hunt (Author), Angela Elwell Hunt (Author)

Price: FREE

Historical fiction requires an author “do her homework” to make it believable. Hunt’s research into the mysterious Lost Colony at Roanoke enabled her to produce an outstanding historical novel. The characters are deep and complex, and there are plenty of twists and turns in the plot to keep you turning the pages.

B. Lapadat

In 1587, a fleet of English ships set sail for the Virginia colony. During a storm, one ship became separated from the others and was never seen again. The settlers on board were presumed lost at sea, but there is both historical and legendary evidence that the colonists actually founded the Roanoke colony.

Veteran novelist Hunt (“Theyn Chronicles”) reimagines this slice of Colonial history through the eyes of Jocelyn White, a newlywed reluctant to leave her home in England for the wild shores of the New World. White’s journey is fraught with danger, but her dependence on God and God’s providence carry her safely through. Hunt’s engaging historical romance will appeal to fans of B.J. Hoff and Patricia Hickman. Recommended for most collections.
