The 25 Weirdest Animals in the World! Amazing Facts, Photos and Video Links to the Strangest Creatures on the Planet (Amazing Animals Series)

The 25 Weirdest Animals in the World! Amazing Facts, Photos and Video Links to the Strangest Creatures on the Planet (Amazing Animals Series)

IP Factly

Price: FREE

Every kid I know loves learning about animals, and mine are no exception. I’m not sure who enjoyed this book more; me or my boys. I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the animals were unfamiliar me. We all learned quite a bit, and the pictures were great! My kids cracked up when they saw the schnoz on that Probiscis monkey in the first chapter. After that, they had to see the rest of the book. Highly recommended!

Steve Jones

Amazing facts, photos and video links to the oddest creatures on the planet today.

  • It’s a fun and fascinating way for newly and not so newly independent readers to find out more about the strangest animals alive.
  • Using video links, IP Factly’s Amazing Animal series has been designed to encourage and bolster independent reading.
  • This book provides fact after fact for information hungry children to tell family and friends, and even has an accompanying website with videos of the animals in action.
  • It makes learning fun and gives a real reason for children to want to read by themselves. Kids will love collecting animal facts to share and enjoy.
  • The 25 Weirdest Animals in the World book encourages children along the path to truly independent reading and learning.
  • See for yourself by clicking on the front cover to look inside the book.
  • There is even a question and answer section at the end of the book to test comprehension, encourage further reading and learning whilst, importantly, instilling confidence.
  • This book is great for newly independent readers and not-so-newly independent readers alike.

Video Links

The animals are accompanied by pictures and facts plus video links so children can see the animals and how they behave.

The video links mean children come back again and again, naturally developing their reading and learning skills (early Kindle models don’t support video but safe website links are given).

There is even a question and answer session at the end of the book.

Children will enjoy testing what they have learnt, as well as delving back into the book to look at what they missed.

Try some yourself:

2. What do hagfish make when threatened?
3. The frill-necked lizard is arboreal. What does that mean?

The author weaves the tasks in a fun way for both parents and children. In fact, I wish my teenagers were younger. I would have relished an opportunity to read this story to my youngsters at bedtime. It’s full of action and twists, too. I love the scene where Pippy is stuck on the top of a Christmas tree.
