I love spicy foods, and the Tex-Mex theme is one that I seem drawn too. I haven’t seen many cookbooks with a lot of recipes in that genre, so I snapped this one up to give it a try. I was happy with what I found. The recipes were simple and easy to follow; using packaged seasonings so there was less measuring of all the little ingredients. There were many varieties of the standard tacos and enchiladas, including casseroles. There were also some tasty vegetarian dishes, for those meatless diners. I especially enjoyed the Texas Taco Salad. I have fixed about 8 of these recipes, and plan to work my way through the rest.
If you love Tex-Mex food or even if you have never tasted Tex-Mex you are guaranteed to fall for the savory deliciousness that makes it one of the most popular foods around. There is truly nothing like it and that’s a good thing!

This book was recommended by a friend. I’ve been interested in nutrition for many years and been concerned about our food supply. This book gives you insight into what is happening and what you can do to avoid the pitfalls. The author speaks from her own experience which I find refreshing, instead of a bunch of statistics and boring facts. She gives you enough specifics so you can form your own opinion.
