Discovering Grace

Discovering Grace is no flash in the pan. This is a book that will stay with you long after you put it down, and I dare you to pick this book up and be able to put it down. To put it simply, the book has heart, soul, and guts, which seem to be absent in so many other books. I have been in the book business for over 15 years, and have not witnessed an author who can capture so eloquently what a book should be, especially on their first time out of the gate. Discovering Grace cannot be put into one genre, simply because it has elements of so many, and all of them are done so well. Get in on this author now, and be able to say you knew him when.

It’s the end of summer in small town Mission Grove, North Carolina, where life is simple and family still means everything. During those last picture-perfect days of the season, parents bask in a lazy weekend before heading back to work. Children happily play, enjoying the last days of freedom before school starts. Life is about as normal as it gets in this quiet southern town. In a split second an accident changes everything. It threatens to tear a family apart and divide close friendships. Pastor Jonathan Matheson struggles to keep family, church and his sanity intact. Can family and faith survive? Is it possible to see past the pain and discover a way to forgive?

Hadassah's Watchman: First Cry -EPISODE 1-

Hadassah’s Watchman: First Cry -EPISODE 1-

Evangheline Farcas

Price: FREE

I’ve been lucky enough to get to know Ms Farcas from another site, and her writing is always spellbinding. Deeply spiritual, emotionally charged and historically well researched, her books are well produced and highly readable. If you have an interest in Christianity, strong belief or just like reading a book that makes you think, then read this. This particular novel is a joy to read and I love Evangheline’s descriptive and story pacing. A lovely read.

Mr. Stuart G. Wilson

Long ago, God set Watchmen on Jerusalem’s walls to keep vigil and sound the battle cry when evil approached. These men and women would not sleep – for if they grew complacent, many innocents would fall. They do not age, time has no hold on them. Throughout the ages and into the present, there are those born who are destined to be Watchmen. Some would watch over countries, some over just one soul. Each one is equipped with gifts to use in the constant battle that remains unseen to human eyes.

Raphael is one such Watchman. His gift? His battle cry? Song. Just as the demons fled at the sound of David’s song to Saul, so the Dark Ones afflicting mankind flee with Raphael’s battle song. One such song begins the redemptive song of Hadassah, a direct descendant of Queen Esther, who must also save her people…with the help of the Watchmen.

Gods and Kings: Chronicles of the Kings #1

Gods and Kings: Chronicles of the Kings #1

Lynn Austin

Price: FREE

When reading this book (incidentally this was my second time), I was struck by how timely the story felt. Hezekiah was one small drop in an overwhelming sea of danger and false gods, but God used his life to literally change the course of an entire nation and people. So read, study, and be inspired as Austin helps to bring to life the truth of 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Ruth Anderson

Gods and Kings is the story of King Hezekiah, heir to the throne of King David. When his evil father plots to sacrifice him, Hezekiah’s mother, Abijah, searches frantically for a way to save him. But only two men can help her, and neither of them seems trustworthy. In a time and place engulfed by violence, treachery, and infidelity to Yahweh, Abijah and her son must discover the one true Source of strength if they are to save themselves and their country. Book 1 of Chronicles of the Kings.
