Code Blue: Prescription for Trouble Series #1

Code Blue: Prescription for Trouble Series #1

Richard Mabry

My advice to you? Read CODE BLUE. It’s 5 star worthy, like Candace Calvert’s Mercy Hospital Series…BETTER than any Grey’s Anatomy, ER, or House episode could ever be. I can’t wait for a second dose of medical mystery and fast paced thrills with this amazing series!

ReviewsByMolly

For Dr. Cathy Sewell, Code Blue means more than just the cardiac emergencies she faces – it’s the state of her life when the return to her hometown doesn’t bring the peace she so desperately needs. The town doctors resent the fact that she’s not only a newcomer but also a woman, and the devastating results from one of her prescriptions may mean the end of her practice. As two men compete for her affection, an enemy wants her out of town – or possibly even dead.

Cathy returns to her hometown seeking healing after a broken relationship, but discovers that among her friends and acquaintances is someone who wants her out of town…or dead. Lawyer Will Kennedy, her high school sweetheart, offers help, but does it carry a price tag? Is hospital chief of staff, Dr. Marcus Bell, really on her side in her fight to get hospital privileges? Is Will’s father, Pastor Matthew Kennedy, interested in advising her or just trying to get her back to the church she left years ago? When one of Cathy’s prescriptions almost kills the town banker, it sets the stage for a malpractice suit that could end her time in town, if not her career. It’s soon clear that this return home was a prescription for trouble.

I couldn’t believe I had actually guessed right about the cliffhanger! It was interesting to see how that all played out. I really liked this episode – watching how Chad and Willow are growing closer and how they face challenges together. I was also really happy that Josh and Becca were back in this episode! I had been hoping to see more of them, and here they are! I love getting to read a new episode of this series each week…I know it’s ending soon, which is sad, but I look forward to going back and reading it all again. Thanks, Chautona, for a fantastic series!

Carrie Barner

From Ashes to Honor: Book #1 in the First Responders Series

From Ashes to Honor: Book #1 in the First Responders Series

Loree Lough

I really did love this book. It was not at all what I had expected but much better. I highly recommend this book.

Lynne Young

If he had only answered that last phone call from the World Trade Center…

Minutes before two jumbo jets changed U.S. history, New York police officer Austin Finley ignored the call from his brother, who’d been bugging him for days. Trying to live with his one regret causes hatred and bitterness to consume Austin, and when counselor Mercy Samara recommends desk duty, Austin resigns. Haunted by her own memories of 9/11, Mercy takes a job as a school counselor in Baltimore. When Austin, now an EMT, responds to an emergency at Mercy’s school, both are stunned and wary.

Finally their common – and painful – memories turn suspicion into friendship, then romance.

But hard questions linger: Can they truly move beyond their past harsh judgments and harsh words? Will their past finally bring them closer or – as the tenth anniversary of 9/11 draws near – drive them farther apart?

The Voyage of Promise: Grace in Africa Series #2

The Voyage of Promise: Grace in Africa Series #2

KAY MARSHALL STROM

Reaching the last page, I am now left hanging. Taking advantage of the first two chapters of the next book (which I found at the back of Voyage of Promise) I find myself left with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. Grace wants nothing more than to go to America to search for her beloved Cabeto…but how can she do that from prison? Wow! Yes, as I said, a cliffhanger! You won’t regret the time spent reading this wonderful, eye-opener book.

Katie McCurdy

She is safe, and she is free…but she is still alone.

Slavers burst into Grace Winslow’s life with guns blazing and tear her family apart forever. She watches in anguish as her husband is led in chains aboard a tightly packed slave ship bound for America. An old enemy has a more sinister plan for Grace and prepares her for a different kind of servitude in London. But Grace will not be enslaved. And she will not give up on the man she loves. In her determination to be reunited with her husband, she finds God reaching out to her.
