I’ve been wanting to read some of Chautona Havig’s books for quite awhile, but just hadn’t gotten around to it. When I read the preview pages of “For Keeps”, the second in the Aggie series, I knew that this was the series to start with. That book opens with a scene where Aggie gains complete control of her children with one word. At the time, I was struggling with my own kiddos and thought that perhaps I could learn something by reading this series. I wasn’t disappointed.

I just finished reading Nan’s Journey, Elk’s Resolve, and Luke’s Legacy. All three are wonderful uplifting novels of faith, hope, and redemption. Each has plenty of suspense, excitement, and surprises to make you want to keep reading until the last page. I found that even when there was heartbreak I hurried on to find out how the characters would handle it. I applaud Elaine Littau for three books well done! I look forward to getting her next book in the series.
