Shadows & Secrets (Annals of Wynnewood)

Shadows & Secrets (Annals of Wynnewood)

Chautona Havig (Author), Craig Worrell (Illustrator)

I appreciate this book because it is a fantasy book, which my children like, but it has no sorcery or magic in it. There are Christian themes throughout the book that only add to the story and are not a distraction. I would recommend it to others and we have bought the series to give as gifts.

Susieb

No one knows what the cloaked creature is or why it is so terrifying. The villagers of Wynnewood only know that they must stay away from ‘the creature’ for fear of their physical and spiritual safety. An unfortunate encounter with a dragon introduces Philip Ward to the creature, and to his surprise, he finds a friend, confidante, and companion in more adventure than he’d ever dreamed possible. Follow Philip and the creature as they rescue a lame child, discover ‘pirate treasure’, and test the mettle of true friendship Shadows & Secrets is the first book in the Annals of Wynnewood.

A HORSE CALLED SEPTEMBER

A HORSE CALLED SEPTEMBER

Anne Digby

Price: FREE

I read this book when I was a kid. I have done lots of reading and still do, however, this is the only book that I truly loved. This story is also the only story that has stayed in my memory all these years. I would love to purchase this book so my daughter may have the privilege of reading such a wonderful book as this. Thank you Ann Digby for giving me one of my most fondest childhood memories.

Lisa Hurst

The moving story of a passionate friendship between two girls growing up together on an isolated Devon farm in the 1970s, the break-up of that friendship – and the horse that changed their lives forever.

This book is a childhood favourite both with English-speaking readers and with readers of various editions in translation.

ANNE DIGBY is the author of THE QUICKSILVER HORSE, FIRST TERM AT TREBIZON, THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF ENID BLYTON’S NAUGHTIEST GIRL and other classic titles. A Horse Called September was her debut novel, now available for the first time as an eBook.

What an adorable story. Peanut is the cutest chicken I have ever read. I particularly loved the drawings – they really brought the story to life and it was so much fun to watch Peanut go on all sort of adventures.

StephT

Peanut is a very special chicken because he is fuzzy. He does not look like any of the other chickens, but he does not care because he goes on grand adventures and plays silly games. He runs all over the farm, does chores, goes in the house to eat snacks and in farmer Melanie’s truck for rides! He’s such a brave chicken that he even becomes a hero when he saves the chicks! Peanut thinks his life is pretty swell.

Join Peanut in this adorable children’s book as his curiosity leads him to meet new friends and make fun discoveries!
