I LOVED this story! Cathy’s writing is vibrant and fresh. It’s loaded with very likeable characters and zippy dialog. I enjoyed getting to know Dani. What an honest woman she was. Steve was a great hero who would do whatever he could to protect those he loves. Aunt Beth is a gem. What a wise woman of God. The secondary characters were very well drawn and I felt like I wanted to move to Miller Creek myself. This was Cathy Bryant’s first novel but her writing is that of a seasoned author. She kept me turning pages from start to finish. You could tell this author was writing from the heart. I love the spiritual message of this story. We can all relate to finding a place to call home. I’m looking forward with great anticipation to future works by Cathy Bryant. I highly recommend this book.

I did not think you could top the last book. The creativity and heart that all the ” Charlee” books have had, I could not believe that she did it again. I love this series a lot, they make me feel like I’m a part of the story, you really can’t put them down. This book (book 3) was the perfect addition to the trilogy. And if you love creative writing, with a deep story line, and in depth characters who make you Laugh; cry, and then laugh again all I can say is…. Read this book, read all the books, they are absolutely wonderful.

This is a good, but bittersweet, young adult story dealing with losing those you love, and showing love to those you might lose–everyone. While I was thrown by a different version of the Bible than I use, when scripture was quoted, I felt it was aptly used in the telling.

I fell in love with this story because it is not like any other Amish story that I have read. I love the unusual “twist” that Barbara Cameron incorporated into this book. Barbara’s writing style is wonderful and all the characters become alive within the book.

I am very anxious to read the second book in this series, A Time to Heal, which is scheduled to be released in March 2011. There was a bonus chapter from the second book at the end of this one but I must admit, I did not read it. I enjoyed the book so much that I know that it would leave me wanting more right away!

This contemporary romance left me cracking up with every chapter and growling when I had to put it down.
