One of the things that I love about Alison Strobel’s writing is that every story is very different, every character unique. Reinventing Rachel really deals with some tough issues like judgmental attitudes, addiction, losing faith, and depression. Although these issues are heavy, the book never felt depressing. At the same time, I found the story to be very honest and authentic. I was easily pulled into the story and I LOVED the ending.
Confident, successful, fun-loving Daphne sets about helping Rachel reinvent herself, and for a while it’s exciting. But when another tragedy shakes Rachel to the core, what little bit of self-possession she has left begins to unravel. A true-to-life story that will draw you in and keep you biting your nails until the end.

Widow of Larkspur Inn, The (The Gresham Chronicles Book #1)

I highly recommend this book, and the others in this series. It deals with many issues facing Christians in a lighthearted manner, but that doesn’t at all mean that it’s fluffy. I could not put this book down. Julia Hollis, the main character, moves to the small town of Gresham after the death of her husband and other devastating events. Readers will sympathize as this city girl learns about country living along with her three children. The author achieves a wonderful story with memorable, realistic characters. You don’t want to miss this book!

Arms of Deliverance: A Story of Promise
Price: $1.99
Currently in one of my courses, we are studying about WWII and the Nazis. This book helped me get a better outlook on their thinking and way of life. I’m really glad I read it and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of Tricia’s books. I would recommend this for anyone who likes historical fiction.
With equal doses of adrenaline and poignancy, Tricia Goyer’s storytelling brings well-crafted characters to life in a graphically authentic World War II setting. She places readers not only behind enemy lines into the heat of battle, but also deep into the innermost sanctuary of the human heart.

Dawn of a Thousand Nights: A Story of Honor

This book was my jumping-off place to learn more about the war in the Pacific and the Bataan Death March. If you love WWII historical novels, you won’t be able to put this book down! It has stayed with me since May 2004! Don’t miss this! I’m so glad I didn’t.
