5 Fun Rhyming Boys Stories: Ultimate Boy’s Collection

Lily Lexington

Price: FREE

I bought one of Lily’s other books a few months ago and decided to pick up this collection as well. I’m glad I did! My nephew LOVED all of the books, and I loved the messages behind the stories (these aren’t just rhyming stories). The illustrations are beautiful on my Kindle Fire and the formatting is flawless. This is one book I’ll be keeping on my Kindle for babysitting!

Whales: Amazing Photos & Fun Facts on Animals in Nature

Kay de Silva

Price: FREE

This is easily the most beautiful book I have ever seen on Kindle. The pictures are amazing. But more importantly it is written with children in mind. My 8 year old had no issues reading and understanding everything that was written (I would think a 6 year old with a good reading level could read this book or most of it) and my 4 year old loved the pictures.

avidreader

Bestselling children’s author Kay de Silva presents “Whales”. The book uses captivating illustrations and carefully chosen words to teach children about ‘the gentle giant of the deep’.

This series is known as one of the most beautiful on the kindle. The pictures look great even in black and white and are excellent on the full color kindle. The description in the large text beneath is simple enough for early readers or for a parent to guide a child through.

There are also picture captions that provide more information to talk about with your child. Alternatively, a child of any age (even the child in you) can just look at the images and appreciate its beauty.

This rhyming book is very cute. It was a free download on the kindle and my son asks for it many times when we are reading on the kindle before bed. It’s short, sweet and very fun for him. The monsters are friendly, not scary. 🙂 Adorable for that toddler – kindergarten age.

  1. I was super excited to read about this on Money Saving Mom and signed up immediately. But after looking at it I realized that is just has free books for Kindle, right? I have a Nook. 🙁 I know this is new, but are there plans to expand, or will it just be for Kindle? If so, I may unsubscribe. It is a super good idea though. I debated a long time about getting an ereader, because I hate to pay for something I could go to the library and check out for free. That’s where I get most of my books for my Nook, is on the library Overdrive system. It works nicely, but I can only have them for a limited amount of time.
Thanks for using your talents and ideas to save people money!

    • Hi Charlene! First, thanks for stopping by! Second, we are planning to start having 1 or 2 Nook posts per week. And lastly, you definitely don’t need a Kindle to get Amazon ebooks. All you need to do is download a Kindle app (there’s one that allows you to read books on your computer!). More info about that here: http://ereadergirl.com/frequently-asked-questions/

      Hope that helps! 🙂
